Mechanical pencil first, then outline it with any small-tipped marker

Hey now! Crayons are pretty awesome if you know how to use them right!

I use a mechanical pencil to draw the main shape, then I go in with sketching pencils (HB, usually) to shade.

Pencils are the key to any successful work; without pencils you couldn't map out an initial idea. After that I like to go over the pencil in fine-tipped pens, and then color with Copic markers. Occasionally I'll replace the Copic markers with acrylic or oil paints.

I KNOW HOW TO USE CRAYONS FYI.
I JUST REALIZED I'M STILL USING CRAYONS FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS THAN COLORED PENCILS,
AND I DON'T KNOW WHY I STILL PREFER USING IT.

Just good ol' pencil and ink. But if I'm doing a colored picture, then I tend to use Copic markers or watercolor paints.

I use .7 lead, then two types of Black ink pen (Bic for tracing everything, Fine Tip Pen for shading and for darker dimensions), Hi=Polymer to erase the residued pencil lines, and then I use color pencils. Yay!

I usually use mechanical pencils for sketches and Prismacolor Illustration Markers for outlines and then assorted color Prismacolor markers. I love how you can layer them. <3

Digitally, I use my Bamboo tablet and Autodesk SketchBookPro 2011 and PhotoShop. I love layers and the (obviously) wide color pallet. No need to worry about dried up markers! :'D

I'll usually start with a h or 2h (which ever i can find at the time). Then use either pens or maybe even sharpie, depending on the picture, or I'll just scan it and completely redraw it in flash or Photoshop, mostly flash though.
