I think that all books are great, without a doubt.

And movies, well, this is a common fact that movies based on our favourite books aren't as great. In the end, the director can't understand and imagine the content of the book the same way as other readers.

That's why, every time I watched Harry Potter, I was prepared to see just a good picture. However, the Half Blood Prince indeed was a fail. On the other hand, the first part of Deathly Hallows looked descent. So, I am looking forward for the upcoming second part and I think it will be some kind of success.

I know! I saw it at midnight! The theater was empty except for me, my brother, and some tall people in the back. Pretty strange considering it now has the highest-grossing opening weekend of all time.

The last movie was really good! I just wish there was more action like it had in the book. Still, it was just amazing!!

I saw it the day after it came out. :DDDDDDDDDD
IT WAS AWESOME.

Even my dad, who doesn't like the HP series, said it was great.

The books are simply superb, but the movies...Meh.

The first two had all the magic of the books.

Third I loved as well.

4,5 and 6 I simply loathe.

Both 7's were good, but still the first three are the best.

Seen Part 2 now, I have to say the did a good job but just didn't provide. Nothing compared to the book. I was thinking throughout the movie that if you hadnt read the book, There is no way you would fully understand what the hell is even going on.

Very good but depressing. I've read the books and knew what would happen in the end and I think that made me a bit sad. I know the ending is pretty upbeat but just seeing everything get destroyed and seeing characters die made me shed a few tears. After Snape died until the end I was depressed but totally getting jacked up for Harry to finally defeat Voldemort. So it was a weird mix of excitement and heartbreak, lol.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was a good book. The movies were kinda, eh. I suppose they couldn't fit everything in since they already had to split it into two movies for the bare minimum. I really missed all the side stories that were in the book. The movie didn't elaborate well and it seemed like the Deathly Hallows were thrown in randomly, leaving out the reason WHY they were there. I don't want to spoil the movie or book for anyone who might read this..

The first three movies were definitely the best, but I guess that could be attributed to the length of the books. The 4th through 7th books were considerably longer than the first 3, so I can understand the need to omit some parts.
