best martial arts for street fighting is good old fashioned wrestling. take them down, get a high mount, pound their face into the concrete. the game is over. even if they have a weapon in their pocket, the shock of getting taken down then pounded from mount means they won't react quickly enough.

problem is, to be a good wrestler you need lots of strength. not everyone has that.

its a good strategy (also one of BJJ's (Brazilian Juijitsu) ultiamte dirty little secret),

but there is no such thing as a foul proof martial art, or strategy. There is no best martial arts in realilty. No way to prove one either. It really depends on the situation and individual.

such as grappling doesnt work in tight spaces, 1 vs more then one fights, or in bars with many objects acting as potiential weapons. Because not every fighter gets shocked from falling or getting hit.Of course thier are always exceptions to the rule, (i know grapplers who win 1 vs many fights using pure grappling), but they are the exceptions, not the rule.peace over war
