Have you ever noticed that these days, children are very snobbish? Well in my school they are. I mean even second graders! It wasn't like that before, or was it?

I noticed that even music these days have a good rhythm, but the lyrics aren't really that nice. They don't make sense. The 80's and 90's had good music. Like Belinda Carlisle (I loved her song Heaven Is A Place On Earth xD),Atomic Kitten, The Blue, Phil Collins, Annie Lennox, Michael Jackson, Nicole Richie, etc. At my age, people don't even listen to these kinds of things, sadly. I mean I really loved the 80's and 90's music.

I know the hairstyles those days weren't 'all that'. They had the afro (pretty famous back then?) and Elvis hairstyles (I think). If things go on like this, what do you think the future would end up?

*In my mind: .__. Mafias. More snobs. Bill Gates and his money. Money. Money. More Pollution. Money. ...Oprah.*

think outside the box.

How do you think people looked at you when you were at that age?

Society is changing fast o-o , kids are learning technology at a very young age , learning words that aren't suppose to be learned. Children now these days are spoiled and have a attitude which is not cool and cute . I miss seeing those cute JK and Gr.1 smiling at you and saying hi , but all you get it is .... EWW she's weird =.= (Little pricks)

I think so too.

I think, actually, modern culture is the less interesting from all the decades from 1950s to 1980s. Maybe because I'm stuck in 60s or maybe this hip-hop and emo and those noisy but poppish bands like Linkin Park really don't make any sense.

It doesn't matter though, if you dislike it then don't pay attention to it. The worst thing about teenagers I noticed: young ladies talk about guys in their 12 years using the words "sexy", "hot" etc. It's kinda weird.

But I'd rather worry about political and ecological future which doesn't seem bright at all. We'll end like this if we don't stop bitching around with those dangerous toys:

i dont know really. it's hard. the only constant thing in this world is change.
what can be true now may not be true later.
how people act now doesnt guarantee that they will be the same later.
maybe people will improve (or worsen).

I'm more worried about the (seemingly at least) increasing amounts of violence among kids.

Kids torturing other kids, kids raping other kids.

That's what makes me worried about the future. What the hell is going on in the families, when two kids find out they'll torture some other kids so badly, that the victims BEGS to die! We're talking about kids around the age of 8-12...

I have to agree with Lady Vertz. It has generally been said that you (as in people in general) can tell alot about a person through the music they listen to, and today's music just.....SUX. And CHILDREN....by that, I mean the pre-teen aged children.....who try to pass themselves off as adults by talking like adults, or acting like some smart-a** prima-donna. Ok...I admit I'm probably a heck of a lot older than the majority of persons on this website, but I think that gives me a bit of insight into what it "used to be like" in comparison to what it's like today. The majority of young adults have absolutely no manners about anything. They are excessively intelligent about things they really should not even know about, and really quite stupid about what is important.

Ok....nobody send me the hate messages in response.

Check out the links that AHTL posted, and tell me that kids that age NEED TO KNOW HOW TO DO THAT? And yes, I blame a lot of it on parents. I deal with screwed up kids every sigle day who are generally in the sorry shape they are in because parents would rather go out and party or bring the party home rather than to take care of the kids and teach them right from wrong. And from there, I can say it has alot to do with the government involving themselves in places they don't have any business being. Like, telling parents to never strike their kids; it'll make the into criminals or give them inferiority complexes or something else just as stupid. Man, when I was a kid and did something wrong, my mom busted my butt. It taught me not to do it again....and today, I would not torture or kill anyone...and thank God that I had a mom who cared enough to bust my butt when I needed it.

And now I'll just shut up and go away....but remember....you asked.
