Just upgraded my account to Legacy on FFXIV, very much so looking forward to 2.0, it looks even better than FFXI!

yeah not many playing here, i think ive only seen 2 threads about ffxiv and most of the comments are from before release, then everyone had huge let down xD.

how crowded is balmung? Durandal is full, system wont even let you create new chars there V:

I'm not sure how crowded Balmung is, I've only recently came back to the game realizing that they released FFXI jobs and are planning the huge revamp with the legacy campaign. Just got my White Mage unlocked but it's still hard to find people to level with

:V yeah i guess that happens in most servers with most peps already high lvl its hard to find low lvl parties
soloing to 40-42 so you can get in the high level SB parties shouldn't be that hard tho just doing levequests and behest
and use the search party function, in my server few NA players use it but i see a lot of JPs using it and the pickup groups with them aren't bad except for the language barrier in my case but for leveling groups there's not much need for communication

I actually just reactivated my account and am on Balmung. If you're looking for someone to level with hit me up some time. My toons name is Viridianna Sovari. Have a 33 Lancer and 16 Thaumaturge but i'm more than willing to start from scratch. It can get pretty lonely solo leveling.

As for server population, from what I've read Balmung is supposedly one of the more populated servers.

no more server transfers until who knows when, and no way im starting a new char xD, all battle classes 50 except white mage and monk those at 40 :V i just dont feel like lvling them even if i can go 40-50 in a day.

I'm either getting this or DQX i'll just have to wait and see as i love both franchises. i just hope they don't screw up the new FF like the last one

Glad to see some people are still talking about FFXIV, it's turned around quite a bit in the last year. It's gonna be a tough sell for SE but hopefully FFXIV: A Realm Reborn works out. We're gonna have a long downtime after Nov 11th, so hopefully people can keep interested until the open beta for XIV: ARR.

They are adding data centers (servers based in specific regions, but they aren't region locking you) to help out with endgame content that requires lower than normal reaction times. 24-man Endgame content and all the typical MMO stuff we all take for granted at this day and age. I'm sure there are still going to be quirks that SE will have to work out in the new release so honestly, try the open beta and then wait for the next big patch to actually start paying for the game.

Also, they are adding in the ability to transfer servers eventually (like FFXI) so it will probably be a pay to transfer if you miss the transfer period. Still a lot of unexplained stuff so keep an eye out if you are interested in this game, it's still got a long ways to go.
