I was embarassed about my pads when I was fourteen, but I've mostly gotten over it by now. The only time it's awkward is around my dad... As for people seeing my pads and such, I don't use the public bathrooms very often, if I can avoid it, and usually if I'm on my period I'm in 'Raging Dragon B!tch' mode and anyone who is immature enough to comment on it will have thier head bitten off.

I don't really give a damn lol. When people ask me why I'm not feeling well, I'll just say that I'm on my period.
Why spend 5 min trying to hint it to them, when you could just say it, and it'll take 5 seconds? I mean, they'll know it even if you hint it to them, so why waste all that time? ._.

As for pads and tampons, I'll lend you a pad right out in the open lol. Unless I'm in class or something.

I keep my pads and things in a small zippered pouch in my purse, it keeps them from being damaged in my purse. And if it falls out, it just looks like a makeup bag ;P

I'll throw it at your face then =)
And then you know, you can tell everyone about your true gender and everyone but me will be mindfucked.

I have never use tampons.

Just put your pads or tampons in secret pocket in your bag. It will not go outside your bag unless it has fest and will jump off your bagXDjk..

Having menstruation is not actually embarrassing. In my class, if my classmates have their period and don't have pads. They will shout in front of the class"Does anyone here have pads?" The boys don't actually care about it.

I think the pretty packaging helps me think that periods is not something to be dubbed as "disgusting".

If I don't think it's disgusting, maybe I can deal with it with more positiveness, don't you think?

Having a pad in your purse is not embarrassing. It's NOT having a pad in your purse when you need it the most is embarrassing, especially if you have to ask the person in the stall next to you and she doesn't have one either. As far as the sound of ripping open that package, every female knows that sound. I've never had anyone stare at me.

Child, I had that happen more times than I can remember, lol. But I'm usually pretty good at the 'quick pick-up' recovery so I don't worry too much...at least if that happens around other women 'cuz we all know how that is.

However, I til this day I still wish they did come up with a more quieter wrapper (my biggest peeve of pads)....and 'yes' toning those freakin' bright ass colors wouldn't hurt either. But once you get past a certain age I think you begin not give a rat's ass in the embrassment dept. (I'm 26, soon to be 27 in 4 DAYS!! ), lol.

I hate using it in public places they make soo much noise
I have to make sure no one is there when using it lol

For me, the bright colors are usually on the main package itself. The pads are wrapped with something more muted in color, like a pale pink or white. Doesn't make a difference though, coz I usually just bring a couple, and store them in a small pouch. But no one here minds, honestly When my friends need a pad, they just ask (usually me, coz I'm known for having a ton of stuff in my tiny purse). Back when I was at school, the girls just yelled for one across the classroom Once, a boy acquired (a new) one and he and his friends played around with it, like sticking it to their faces and whatnot.

Oh, and tampons scare me.
