To be honest, I'm pretty much satisfied with it. Sure Light died but then if he lived, the ending would have most probably been crappier and every other character would have been dead.

Well, for all of them here it is:
Manga- I liked that it continued after Light died, Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I was happy that Near was still doing Crime Investigation and such. (Also, was that chick at the end supposed to be Misa?)
Anime- I was disappointed at the way it ended....
The Live-Action- I liked that L outlasted Light, although, with Death Note: L Change the WorLd, I didn't like that the ending didn't match up. |

The ending was sad but satisfactory, to say the least. But am I the only one who wanted more because of the ending? Perhaps it could have been interesting if Misa became Kira after Light died, rather than falling into depression and killing herself.

II loved the neding! Not in the manga, because ti didn't really show what happened tot he rest oft he characters, but in the anime it was beautiful. I loved how Light was dying on the staircase and he saw L just before he died, and also the bit with Misa on the roof was so sad...I think it was a mistake killing L so soon, he should have outlived Light  |

The first time I was watched the Death Note ending (anime) I couldn't believe that this was how it was going to end.
Thinking Light always had a trick up his sleeve, I really wanted him to be a God (I know that might sound a bit obscene : P).
Never for a second was I able to see the perspective from either L's or Nero's side.
Not even the second time I watched it all over again, but I have to say....
Knowing he wouldn't survive when watching it the second time, I honestly believed he put up quite the fight and his death was alot different watching it a second time.
The way he lost his edge, laughing like a maniac, acting like it wasn't over yet....
One word, Brilliant.

well at least the anime give light some dignity the manga well lets just say Light lost it. But i prefer the manga because it is more interesting how the irony of Light start from calm mind to paranoia.

NO!!!!!!!! It's sooooo sad. None of this wouldn't have happened if Light's dad killed Mellow at the right time. But, I guess Light SHOULD have died to make a good ending, but at least he COULD have died later...

THe anime I thought was dissapointed..I didn't see the point in killing Mello at the v end...It could have been diffrently...But it was a somewhat good end to a good story..
The Live action had a more satisfator ending for us L fans and anti Kira people! I liked it but it was a sad ending. It was very good at the end better then the anime.
