Hitsuji 2180 cr points Send Message: 32 / F Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 10/8/09 One thing I realized in reading this chapter and the previous chapter is that Nakamura-sensei overturns the idea of "the guy whom MC hates turns her around with a kiss" scenario. Usually it goes.. girl gets kissed by guy she hates. She starts to have warm and fuzzy feelings for him but doesn't know why, she gives into his forceful ways, then Guy #2 punches guy number 1. I like the fact she turned this on its nose.... Instead it's girl hates guy, tries very, very hard to get away. (Danger danger...) still hates guy and just when guy was about to sock the other guy, she's the one that gets him. ^_^ This saves Ren from looking like the bad Guy and makes Kyouko stay in character. I so appreciate the fact it didn't turn all typical shoujo because of one lousy kiss. And I have to love Ren getting so close. I was cheering for Yashiro-san to push Ren into Kyouko. (Man, I would)... Too bad it didn't happen. Yashiro is like the voice of the fanship.

I hope that Sensei isn't being worn out by it being Bi-weekly. Shueisha should treat their mangaka better.... we already have had enough mangaka collapses for the year. I don't want to add another. I still favor something along the line of a kiss plot where Kyouko has to kiss Shou for work and she goes to Ren for character advice. I'd favor her though being the rival to the main character in the short... and is very determined not to tell Ren who she's kissing... I have a feeling that Nakamura will do the Kiss-for-work plot eventually because this seems to build up towards it and I've been predicting this for a while. I think it's possible to do that arc without a kiss between Ren and Kyouko, driving the fans absolutely nuts. (Because she wants to examine the motivations for the kiss, not find out how to kiss, which is so Kyouko or some such. =P) But I'm predicting this manga will end some time when Kyouko is 18 years old... sniff And Nodame is ending... Will Chiaki finally marry her? (That's no spoiler either. =P That was apparent from part 1...) I love Chikai-senpai. A guy that can clean that well is welcome over any time. ^_^ But that's OT. I like guys that support the main girl towards her dreams and try to help her aim towards their goals where its mutual helping. ^_^ (None of that self-sacrifice stuff). Which is why I like Skip Beat and want Ren to definitely win over jerk Sho. I'm also pleased with 146, in retrospect because it turns the Shoujo stereotypes on its head and is in characters with everyone in that situation. Kyouko is rather anti-Shoujo stereotypes type of character. ^_^ But Ren should be more forward with his feelings, or Yashiro should have shoved Ren by "accident" when he was "Emperor of the Night".

Nakamura sensei had better not pull something like that - man, love your manga like it's your baby!! The one thing I keep hoping for is more action and less cliffhangers - I just about die when we ALMOST get to something, only to come up on the last pages of the chapter!!! AARGH!! I guess what happens next has to be Kyouko's big role, right? Or her almost big role. I think that she's almost ready... I hope Ren on the other hand is ready to face all of his past and bare his soul to Kyouko :P Shou just needs to plain go away... far away...let him tour elsewhere only to be eaten by the local predatory fauna mwahahahaha

Is this still being released in japan ie we have to wait for her to draw this every 2 weeks (or whatever the time is ?????) If so, I'm positively going to die and be ticked off with myself really hate reading stuff that's not finished last chapter was awesome !! Ren, man up and kiss her already

Ren, man up and kiss her already Yes the manga is still on-going in Japan. The lastest chapter is 147, the next chapter will be out on oct.20th (raw). I do not know how long it'll take them to translate it into English, perhaps a few days. However, recently, there's someone posting Chinese raws on this forum of the manga. So if you can read Chinese, I think you can get to read the chapter sooner than the English translations.

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Title Paaaage~! This one's not the greatest, but it's kinda cute. Is it just me, or do the fairies here look familiar? Other then the Kyouko one, I think I see a Moko-fairy, a Momose one and a Oohara one. As well as one that looks a little like Ogata, and a Maria one, too. XDD Aaand we start where we last left off; Ren shattering the hearts of women (and Yashiro) everywhere. ...Make that 'And' Yashiro into 'Especially' Yashiro. Poor man's not having the best day, is he? First, he missed out on seeing Kyouko give chocolates to Ren, then he witnesses Shou kissing Kyouko, and now THIS?!!! Someone needs to give this poor man a break!!! 'No big deal to a playboy like you?' Yashiro doesn't have a high opinion of Ren's romantic life, does he? ...I think Yashiro's just a few more words away from decking Ren himself, after everything that's happened. XD ...Kyouko, on the other hand... Mad props to Ren's 'Sempai' skillz. They work in mysterious ways... Though it probably helps that Kyouko can read Ren so well... well, most of the time, anyways... My first kiss went a little like this~ XD Sorry, couldn't help myself. Honestly though, I have a similar first kiss story, myself. My best friend and I were doing a skit in High School, and she was playing a male role while I played her dead girlfriend. She tried to kiss my cheek during the performance, and got my mouth instead. In front of our whole class. Needless to say, the next few weeks were really awkward... ...Did... Ren really have to describe the guy that way...? ...Yashiro's reactions are the best. Deny that, I dare you. ...How did Ren not glomp this girl when she was looking up at him like this?! It's like getting hit with a full dose of Kicked puppy, sad kitten and lonely child all at once! Oh, his eyes are closed. That explains it. XD I'm with Momose and Oohara. Who thinks like that in the first grade?! This is one of those things about acting that's never really touched on, but has to be awkward and horrible. Especially when it comes to scenes that call for a lot more then just kissing, and one of the actors is married. Lots of respect for the people who are that passionate about their work that they can do this convincingly, and more for their partners for being cool with it. I don't think that I could be, in their shoes... <3 And thus, Ren wins back all the love he was in danger of losting with his comment. And then some. XDDD ...And then a little more. <3 <3 <3 ...I will never again doubt Ren's ability to make everything all better. To be honest, I'm surprised Kyouko didn't compare Shou to something worse... Like a leech or something. XD Huh? There's more? ...Ren's doing it again, isn't he? That thing where he takes advantage of Kyouko's faith in him as a sempai to make her agree to something for his own, less-then-selfless reasons. ...And of course, Kyouko falls for it, as always. 'sighs in exasperation' D-Demon Lord? When was the last time we saw Demon Lord!Ren?! Yashiro and Kyouko weren't expecting the Demon Lord's appearence either, it seems... ...Ren... How do you do from sweet and charming to terrifying at the flip of a switch? I don't think I could handle being loved by a man like that... Poor Kyouko... If Yashiro's right about Ren being pissed at Kyouko for that, then I'm not happy. She didn't want him to kiss her, that was clear as day, so how the hell does anyone get off blaming her for that?! That's totally stupid, and not far off from the train of thought that girls get raped because they're 'asking for it.' If anyone should be punished for what happened, it's Shou. Kyouko, as usual, is just an innocent victim of a selfish jerk. I'll withhold judgement until next chapter, though, since that'd probably when Ren will get the chance to explain his thoughts on all this. ...among other things. 'cackles with glee'
