you know animes like code geass, naruto, vampire knight. At the beginning its so funny then it gets more serious and dramatic...like if you watch the latest episode of naruto shippuden compared to the first episode of naruto theres a huge difference in comedy and seriousness...same with code geass and vampire knight.Don't you think so? or am i just being weird...

I don't think Code Geass is a good example, as it was actually serious from episode 1. There are certainly a number of series that start as comedies, or have a strong comedic element, but turn rather serious by the end. Chrono Crusade is one good example of this.

Code Geass is not a good example.
I think an example of an anime starting funny then serious is Chobits.
That show has comedy in the first and middle eps but later get serious.
I still enjoyed it though.

Naruto, Code Geass, and Vampire Knight? Goodness.

Anyway... Yeah. That's kind of the point, right? To start off smooth and then slowly increase into drama. The plot wouldn't be as strong unless you got to know the characters well, and you usually start get attached when you see how they act outside of ~srs business~.

Of course. If the ending didn't become serious and epic then the Anime wouldn't appeal very well. Well, there are some exceptions...
