Why is it that in most stories the "Antagonist" is always a male.
(This includes shugo chara because of the director)
It seems sooo sexist
I'd be surprised if I saw a Female be the Antagonist..
Bad Girl instead of Bad Boy

What do you reckon??

I wonder why this isn't under just the general anime discussion, but anyway. . .Maybe it's because they are usually the big bads in real life. Dictators are usually male, and so are serial killers. More guys do time for felony crimes than women. More men abandon their children than women. More men cheat on their spouses. Most bully bosses are male. Most terrorists, domestic or otherwise. . .well, you get the point. Not to say there aren't just as many evil women as there are men, but I think women tend to face harsher reprimand when they cause trouble, so most don't. People are so used to the bad guys being men in real life that they just expect it in fiction I guess.
