Does anyone know what is going on with the back episode release schedule for Erin? When the simulcast was first announced, we were told that we would get 4 back episodes each week, in addition to the latest episode aired. But the back episode release hasn't happened this week and in checking this month's release schedule, I don't see anything past episode 18 getting released. :(

Erin is one of my favorites here on CR and I don't really want to go to other sites to watch it. I pay for a CR membership and am just a little disappointed and confused that the episodes aren't coming as they said they would.

I also feel the same way. I hope the library episode release is addressed this week.

I just posted the following "complaint" in the closed "paid membership" forum. CR bigwigs are the moderators there so maybe they will pay attention. Hopefully. :

I'm kind of wondering what is going on with the way some things are scheduled here?

For example: I went to get my fix of the ERIN "back" episodes (the ones you were supposed to upload this week were 19-22) and found that you had only updated the very latest one (episode 39).

Remember when you guys added this title you made the following promise:

On top of that we're gonna drop four back episodes of ERIN for members and 2 for non-members every week as well, so you can marathon it later on down the line.

see your entire post here:

http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-557531/erin-is-here/

Now I do understand that you have a load of new (and redundant, IMO) simulcasts from Japan. Those of us watching ERIN may be few in comparison for the huge army of wankers that have to catch that latest ecchi debacle, but you did promise us non-ecchi fans four back ERIN episodes a week. I don't understand why the "new" shows give you an excuse to backslide on your original promise.

I don't want to have to seek out fansubs. I like the quality of the 720 streams and would prefer to watch it here, but you guys are almost forcing me to go the fansub route.

Your debacle with Hanasakeru Seishonen should have been a wake up call for what not to do. What could have been a great opportunity to attract new, paid memberships became a prime example of a "poor marketing strategy". Everyone interested in Hanasakeru Seishonen has been filling the missing shows with fansubs. What is the incentive to pay? I thought attracting paid subscribers was the smart new business model in operation here....

I PAID for a membership and for the most part have enjoyed it. I truly feel the high quality streams provided here have made it more than worthwhile. I only ask you to please honor your promises and uphold your end of the contract.

I am doing the two week trial right now and I was hoping to catch up with Erin. I am kinda annoyed that I am going to have to resort to fansubs again and I am not sure, if this happens often, if I should become a paying member.

I think your complaint is very well founded. This isn't small operation of fansubbers where you expect delays. As soon as you require members to purchase a subscription you have to abide by the release schedule.

This was a great idea; please keep us posted on if you get any responses. I will take all my future complaints there as well.

If all else fails because CR wants to disregard the member's wishes, you can torrent the episodes from Ep1 to Eph 30+

So you can fill in the gap (which I don't know what it is...) with what was done previously via subbers. Of course if this is too devious because it's "illegal" (just remember how CR got started if you wonder down that path) then you can just wait on CR.

The way I see it. Crunchyroll either is going to ignore and to be slow on shows and fail as a company. Or it can get on the ball and tell the people doing the subbing to speed up. Funimation is sounding like it is going to put together an online paid service like Crunchyroll. If things do not appear to get better, I will have to reconsider renewing my membership. I do like that some of the lesser known shows are being aired; however, there needs to be some consistency on putting out episodes. Reborn, which I enjoy watching, is getting four episodes a week. Erin was too. WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEK. It took months for Eyeshield 21 to finally to get stuff up. Now Erin is dragging. Simulcasts that have previous episodes need to be brought in with the previous episodes ALREADY up. What good is having a legit service to fansubbing if you cannot to the job right. All I get is "go watch the fansubs." That really defeats the point of this service.

I would suggest that all you paying members go to this thread. and demand your accounts be credited.

Crunchyroll stated the product would be delivered on a certain schedule, and has NOT delivered. I also notice that they are not scheduling back episodes this week either. So that is TWO weeks (or half a month worth of credit) they should apply to each of our accounts.

Update - The videos we should have gotten last week are now available and our future back episodes (couldn't think of how else to word it) are pre-loaded and ready to go.

Yes!!!!

I guess persistent complaining produces results, though I really wish I hadn't had to do that. I normally prefer to be polite, and I DO want the Crunchyroll business model to succeed. The anime industry is in dire condition right now, and I want to support the jobs of all the creative people who work in this media.

This show is such a good example of great story-telling with original looking art. I intend to inform as many people as I can about it. I believe it has a greater universal appeal than most of the niche titles, only....no one knows about it.

I'm really glad to hear that CR delivered, that brings me closer to actually spending money on an account. I've not done the two week "free" option because if I do that I will continue after that with a paid account.

If Skip Beat enters into a second season with CR simulcasting, I'll join instantly, LOL

Happy for the CR members who are Erin fans. At least you didn't get treated like those of us who were HanaSei fans. But maybe CR learned! That would be awesome to think so.
