Ep 3 was too fast.
I really hope this series slows down a bit. The first series went too slow while the second goes too fast.

Totally agree with you there...seems like they're squeezing in 3 eps worth of story in one episode...where the original would've prolly stretched it to maybe 4-6 eps ... hopefully they do slow down the pacing but if it's really true that it's only going to be 26 eps (I think it was confirmed but not sure) then there's no way they could slow the pacing and still finish the series

To be honest, I'd even rather have them stretch it out like the previous anime, rather than cutting & speeding up everything and squishing like 10 chapters into one episode. Seriously. .__________.

well i personally like it! i'm glad that it picks up exactly where it left and so far all the episodes have been decent!!! BUT.....it seems like they are in a rush/ time crunch to end the anime everything goes by really quick.... but like i said before it looks like an alright series and i have been wanting to see (for so very very long) how in the world it's going to end

well to be truthfull inuyasha is one of the best animes out there

some of you probably wont know a good anime if it bit u in the ass

All of you who are saying "oh i lost interest "or "its too long", are freaking crazy...the anime has an amazing storyline and amazing characters
i think the final act is truely awesome

sure it moves fast...but most fans don't want to watch a whole bunch of fillers again they just want to get to the point
the only problem in inuYASHA WAS THE FILLERS thats all it kept on getting repetitive, thats all other than that the anime is truely a work of art

you can see how mutch the characters have grown

and about the "its too long" thing there are animes that are waaay longer than inuyasha...like bleach, naruto, pokemon, sailor moon..etc..

and its waay better than the animes that they are making today...wish are completly stupid and pointless(not all of them...just some

and another thing...Naruto shippuden sucks

Some fun with math:

Both the original series and The Final Act were based on 36 volumes of the 56 volume manga. With the original series being 167 episodes, that was just under 4.639 episodes per volume. At that same rate, The Final Act would have been over 92 additional episodes, taking 3 years to complete.

By contrast, if the original series could have been aired at the same pace (only possible if the first 36 volumes were already complete), it would have wrapped up in 47 episodes, taking only 2 years.

I think one reason The Final Act felt rushed to some is because the original series had such a sedate pace by comparison. I will wager there are other series people don't think were rushed that had the same pacing, if not faster.

I also have to think limiting it to 26 episodes was one way to assure it was indeed the final act. More than 26 episodes would have meant more than one season. If the ratings and/or DVD sales did not justify it, a second season may have not come about, leaving the series incomplete.

i would probably have to agree with most people when i say the series was to fast paced...
i mean the killed hakudoshi off in episode 1 and then kagura in episode 2, though the final battle with naraku wasn't that fast
overall i'm glad that they did finish it, though it probably wouldv'e been about 50 episodes at least if they put as much flashbacks in it as they did with the first series
(good anime)

I have watched all of the new Inuyasha episodes.I have to say this they sure get to the point in these episodes. Each episode is very important. There is only 26 episodes of the new one but it has a really good ending to those that can keep on watching. I own all the dvd's and movies and can't wait for the newer episodes to finally hit the shelves on dvd then i will have the complete Inuyasha set.

I saw an excellent ballet based on the Inuyasha and Kagome story at Harlow Ballet, England. Costumes exactly as in the cartoon images! Choreographed by Cassandra Jacobs, music of Kaoru Wada, artistic director Michael Branwell. Better than sitting through 50 'repetitive' episodes perhaps? http://www.harlowballet.co.uk
