I'm pretty interested in signing up for the anime membership. However, I am curious on how often the site gets new anime, and how long anime stays on the site once it has been uploaded.

I noticed that there are not any of the older "classic" anime. Are licenses for these anime too expensive to purchase? Furthermore does crunchyroll pay distributors per view, or does it buy general licenses allowing unlimited viewing?

Basically I am asking is cr's business model analogous to netflix or hulu. It makes sense to me to pay for a service like netflix, but does not make sense to pay for a service like hulu without adds.

No one else wants to know the answer to this? Seem like fairly general and useful questions to me.

Basically I'm asking what other people think about CR, and what they think of the business model.

Don't expect much understanding from the kids in the forums, they all run around reporting threads which they can't deliver a simple reply to. Actually, little is known about the business model they use. Or if you could explain more that would been great I'm OK with the things are on CR right now, whenever they add a new show they will tell us on the index page and the membership price ain't that much either.

you could have modified your original post. you were seemingly just asking for a one universal answer. no discussions can really made by your post.

you pretty much just answered his/her HELP question. after this, where's the discussion? common sense is not so common, i might have guessed.

edit
a thread that is pretty much personal is not allowed. blame yourself for not reporting these kind of stuffs.

you pretty much just answered his/her HELP question. after this, where's the discussion?

Discussion points are
- What do you think about CR's service(i.e. high quality, good value, large library, frequently updates etc)
- What is CR's business model
- Implied by CR's business model, what can we expect from CR in the future.(You might pay for a subscription not by what CR is currently offering but what you expect they will offer in the future)
- What do you think/know about licenses, licensing fees.(Are they too expensive for a site like CR to buy, does CR pay for licenses using revenue share, pay per view, buying general licenses, is this a good idea?)
- Would you rather subscribe to a site that offers a large library of older anime, or subscribe to a site that offers newer anime.(Which is CR and why)

Honestly people can discuss whatever they want, but these points are implied or directly stated in my first post. I don't see why my post is an issue or why I need to explicitly bullet my points in order to get someone to answer a question.

I could see how you could say my first post is personal, because I express my own opinions in it. However, what you take out of it personally is not what others will.

Please refer to the thread below and ask your question to an admin. Usually BK is there answering those types of questions.

Site support/help/ask technical questions here

Honestly, you're asking the wrong people. Even the forum mods don't know since we have nothing to do with the videos. You need to approach an admin and ask them. I recommend BasouKazuma.
I'm sorry but no personal threads allowed. I hope you got your answer from the users who posted in this thread. If you didn't, please PM an admin or ask in the thread above.
