I never knew one ( or atleast I don't think I did). But if I did, I would accept them for what they are. If I had the chance to have a relationship with one, I would be down for that.

Honestly, in this day and age, people are still afraid of the unknown, and it's rather sad. Just because someone is different doesn't make it a bad thing. Even if we were just all blobs (a episode of fairy oddparents comes to mind), chances are, people would still judge each other no matter what.

But back to the matter at hand. It's not what you have that defines you, it's what you decide that defines you, if that makes any sense.

I would find them fascinating and one reason for that fascination is they are both genders or a third gender. Also, the possibility of them being able to reproduce on their own is fascinating.

No reason not to accept them. since I'm not personally involved with one I see no need to think of it any stranger than knowing that person is gay or left-handed.

I would probably enjoy knowing someone who is a hermaphrodite. I like learning about certain kinds of people, lifestyles, etc. To me, it's better to educate yourself about something before you make the decision to judge, or say negative things about it.

IT'S A TRAP!
But anyways, I don't care about other people's background. As long if they're nice, being friends with them will be a pleasure. This is the first time I heard about hermaphrodite. I went and researched it right away. I don't find anything wrong with this. It's not your fault for being hermaphrodite. I have phobia to a lot of things. It's more like me having phobia to nature.

I would love to have one as a friend. It's interesting, and sorta unique. You don't see it everyday, and I like meeting new, unique people.
I have absolutely no problem with them.

Are you going to choose a gender or stay as you are? Have you had a genetic test to see which gender you are most of? If you have (or are going to) will that affect any decision you have on what gender you'll choose? Have you found out if you have the ability to have children (either way) or not? Personally I don't have any problem with hermaphrodites. Nobody should be blamed/punished/ostracized for the way they were born. I have a family member with a rare genetic deletion. He has issues, but I love him just the same, if not more so. <3 I have learned there are many people in this world with "invisible" (no one can tell by looking at you) conditions/illness, just like I have. Fighting!

To the OP.
I am going to sound mean. I am not Sorry.

You make me sick.
Not because your a hermaphrodite, it is because you are letting this get to you.
You alone make this a big issue. So much that you fear that others will make it a weapon that will hurt you.
yes there will be others who will sneer, talk behind your back, try to physically hurt you, and some will even go so far as to actively destroy your life.
One of life's greatest skills is not letting stuff get to you. Be proud of who you are. Keep your chin up and be comfortable.
You want to swim? Go swim. Don't be embarrassed about what you have.
You are different, like everybody else. You are unique, like everybody else. You are weird, just-like-everybody-else.

I can guarantee that if you are confident of yourself, you will live a better life. Stop living in fear, and start living.

Its easy to say somehow does not fight enough or should not life in fear.
Sad reality is that in the "modern society" nobody will come to you and say "You scum, You make me sick, Go die", because what would be political incorrect and everybody is afraid of the consequences for them personally. What they will do is pick on you from behind the scenes. Discriminate you in the job. Bad-mouthing you.

As much as I'am on the side of the people that say "It's your life, don't listen to scumbags!" ... for the affected person, that is a tought decision, featuring a lot of feculent consequences.

I know a hermaphrodite but you could never tell unless she told you because she doesn't have ovaries or anything but she does have breasts. Personally, I think hermaphrodites have a hard life and people don't understand them. I read this one fanfic on fanfiction.net that made me love them even more; it was called "Sperm Donor" by Sammie-chan89. Not knowing which gender you are attracted to is okay. You could say you're bisexual (if you don't take offense) because you are both genders but you're right. It could be a tough call. I wish you luck if you find someone who accepts you the way you are and makes you happy!~
