Hermaphrodite as in androgynous? If so, then I love them so much ~ I would really want to meet one in real life. <3

Really unfortunate for these people........their parents should really spare them the pain later in life by having a surgery performed at birth to determine their gender. That said, you have choose to have a boy and later in life your son could be very feminine and want to live as a girl or visa versa. BUT at least this child does not have both male and female reproductive organs

I agree. Parents should take responsibility and try to help them live a normal life in any way they can. They'll have a hell of a time otherwise. It's unfortunate that our society is so rude and judgmental, but for now, it is, and parents have to account for that. Let the kid decide what they want when they're older, but when they're young, they're completely under the will of others.

Not everyone believes its their parent "right" to decide your life. What if they decided you should be a girl? Then you decide you like girls? Call it unfortunate if you want, but some people thing that hermaphrodites were how humans were originally supposed to be.

People are entitled to be happy no matter who they are sex/race/orientation. Though we all feel the human nature to pick on each other some can be less understanding/mature about these kid of things. At end of day as long as you are safe and happy that is all that matters.

Hermaphroditism, for me at least, seems to be an Other, that does not conform to the usual Male-Female dichotomy. The idea of hermaphroditism seems, at once, a exclusion from 'normality', and a 'transcendence' of it, as it is not included in either groups of 'same', in terms of sex. The hermaphrodite, as an idea, is, in my imagination, a creature of Freedom within both world because he is a part of neither. That is why, I think, I find hermaphroditism exotic.

I've never met one myself, but if I ever do, i'd accept them whole heartedly. They are human beings after all.

It doesn't really matter to me.....I know better than to judge people by something they can't change. Race, gender and sexual preferences are so overrated and we need to accept that .

Had you asked me a couple of years ago i would have been judgemental towards a hermaphrodite, now i see things differently. Honestly if you feel that its the right thing for you then i say go on. Still i must say im surprised your able to be so open about who you are, and for that you definitely have my respect. Society tends to disregard those who are different.

Interesting.

Well humans in general are interesting but some, such as yourself, are more interesting than the rest of us. When it comes to respect there is only one thing I look for, "does this person value other persons or sentient life?" I don't generalize on it.

Go ahead and ask me a question

My questions are:

What is your karyotype?

How many of your friends know this particular side of you?

How do you see yourself? Do you subscribe to societies views on gender, sex and sexuality?

As long as there's love, nothing else matters.

Pretty much my philosophy with regards to all uncommon situations. There's a lot of happiness to be found in being easygoing.

I think it adds a nice spice to life and I find children of that nature to mature more quickly and be much wiser than that of an average child. Very interesting.
