I wouldn't consider myself old, although I'm not what the age on my profile says but a bit older, but watching or liking anime isn't an age specific issue. Like most my introduction was the 80's when we'd call it Japanimation instead of anime and I was hooked when I saw Akira. I guess to me then cartoons had certain rules to follow and anime broke them all. The stories were more complex and the artwork was significantly better. Over the years I developed my favorites and to this day I can still say they are my favorites, the newer stuff not so much. I don't think it's being "too old" to watch it now, I just can't get into them.

Anime has been out for a long time and people have been watching it for yrs now.....Those people were considered young back then but old now like me I guess lol... So are the guys and women in their 50's

I haven't seen an old person 70+ watching anime but I've seen many watching cartoons back then like tom and jerry etc....my great grandma loved tom and jerry

Please don't say 30+ is old.

I can say with great certainty that, if i'm alive to be that old, and anime is still made then, i'll definitely be watching them xD Well, provided they're any good lol.
But i don't think there's any problem with it.. though, i don't think any old people right now would randomly up and start watching anime? lol

I watched cartoons as a kid on Saturday mornings - long before 24-hour cartoon channels. I was hooked on anime back in the 70's when Star Blazers (aka Uchū Senkan Yamato) was out. Have enjoyed anime since. I'm now 46. Given the choice between American cartoon "choices" (Spongebob, American Dad, Simpsons, Rugrats, UGH!) or Japanese animation (High School of the Dead, Clannad, Kanon, Gosick, MGX, and dozens of others), anime will win every time. Call me weird. Don't care.

I guess I need to admit it, I am one of those older people you are wondering about.
In Sept 2012 I turn 6
2 and will continue to watch anime until I go blind and then
they can hardwire my optic center to a VR set. I love anime with a touch of henti.

I have been watching from the beginings of anime.

I would influence them to watch Anime, since it goes beyond the limits of what normal movies can perform.

I plan to keep watching Anime till the day I die!

Who is with me!

people in japan have been watching anime their whole lives lol. So it would be the same as an American who is 80 who still enjoys disney or looney tunes.
I'm actually currently trying to find an cartoons my grandma would like. I was thinking about introducing her to Avitar the Last airbender. Any anime suggestions?
