My very rational Muslim friend just sent me this: http://www.bwtorrents.com/showthread.php?t=243597

Here's the article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1221481/Russians-left-puzzled-Koran-phrases-start-appearing-spontaneously-babys-skin.html#ixzz0UTQ3BESI

Check out all the comments. Apparently, some people see this as proof that their religion is true. Wow, they must have been very insecure about their beliefs before this lol

This reminds me of the way people reacted when they were finding images of Jesus in their toast.

i don't think they were insecure about their religion before this lol...its a little too much to say that

however their reaction is expected, any religion that finds something like this would have people reacting in such a manner.

Jesus images in the toast i think is different from this, toast vs. a human body....

It is of course hard to believe but thats what they call a miracle (in Islam at least)

its another one of those things where all we can really do is argue/discuss whether its true or not but will never in fact know the truth. Despite that i do find it hard to come up with a rational explanation to those "marks".

Same over here, there is no real way of explaining but it wouldn't go as far as calling it evidence for their religion. There have been many unexplainable events in the past. There is always the possibility that these things were put on the boys skin by unnatural means by his very parents. You could never know what extreme lengths some overly fanatic religious people are capable of for their own religion.

Every other comment is "this is proof Islam is the true religion !"

I would say people who base evidence for their religion on this story are probably insecure about their beliefs.

This is so obvious hoax as the face of Christ in the sky. I highly doubt such events are true. For centuries priests/mullas/rabbies were trying to make such signs hand-made to "proof" anything.

That would be rather a bizzarre coincidence which is possible or a religious hoax.
I sound extremely anti-religious sometime but such "signs" were popular since the mankind was born.

i'd hate to burst all the bubbles, but all the single secular religions all have a few things in common, beleive in god, follow the 10 commandments, be a good person, boom, no matter the religion you'll be ok. besides religion is just another way for a select few to control the idiotic masses. Although i'm sure a lot of people wont like that opinion.

"a single person is smart, people as a whole are stupid."

^^
Well I agree. I used to believe in God before becoming a vicious Agnostic but I believed in a supernatural power which had no connections with religion. God can exist, everything can exist in theory but some dogmats are just ridiculous and have nothing to do with believing. People believe not thinking, but just because someone said so. Human farm it is.
