Do Naruto haters bother you?

Hey~

As most of you know, Naruto is an anime that often gets frowned upon by anime elitists. It gets a lot of hate, it's constantly being torn down, ect.

Does it bug you? And is it ever hard to be in a fandom that gets so much shit from others?

I don't bother. ^^

Eh, sometimes. I'm kind of use to it by now, though. It does kind of bug me when people over-generalize the show by saying that all the characters are crap when there are good ones as well, but I always get over it. The problem with long-running shows is that they're hard to keep fresh. As a result, people tend to lose interest. But it still has a legion of faithful fans and that's what keeps the show going strong! Love it or hate it, the show was a success! If the anime was truly crap, then there's no way it would be so popular!

I love Naruto. People that are just going to be utterly negative and go out of their way to hate on something aren't really being logical in my opinion. They're just trying to be a spoil-sport and end up being really annoying to everyone. There's nothing really good or attractive about that.

Kind of. One of my friends is a Naruto hater.

I don't go out of my way to hate Naruto. But almost half of the entire series is cheesy filler that detracts from the main plot. And it's been that way since the original show as well as in Shippuden.

Back in the original series it was "lets go visit this obscure village and solve their problems while we wait an unseemly amount of time for the plot to advance!" I could sort of live with that...except for that one stretch at the end where there were over a hundred episodes of it. And then in Shippuden it's been "FLASHBACKS FLASHBACKS OMG WE NEED MORE FLASHBACKS." And that filler is inexcusable. There's a freaking war going on, how hard is it to write new stories about different battles to use as filler!? I don't want to see young Naruto solve some crappy mystery from 4 years prior. I want to watch what's going on now.

I really want to love Naruto though. So many of these episodes nearly move me to tears with how well done they are. I re-watched the destruction of Konoha arc so many times due to how epic it was. Konohamaru's fight against Pain, Naruto's sage training, Hinata's sacrifice. And the more recent episodes finally showing what happened when the 9 tails attacked, and unraveling the mysteries of Naruto's parentage. It's been ridiculously good.

But the filler...it just dampens my whole mood when I go to watch new episodes. You can only check back so many weeks for a show that you love where you're greeted with filler after filler before you eventually start to give up on the show altogether. And that's kind of where I'm starting to get to lately.

I really wouldn't be surprised if most Naruto haters are simply disillusioned fans like I am.

Eh, I don't care, they can think what they want. Personally, I love Naruto. I don't see why I should care about how anybody else may think of it.

The only reason i think people seem to hate Naruto is because of how popular it is so they probaby get annoyed with how many people love naruto. Same thing with Bleach. It kinda bothered me but not anymore
