God that movie was so dumb. I walked out of the theater about 1/3 of the way through.

It was hyped up too much. And somehow...I don't believe in that whole movie showing premiere thing...Honestly. I give it a 3/10. The ending was okay. Though predictable.

I thought it was a very well done movie. It plays with your mind. So go see it and get your own opinion about it. Other peoples opinions are usually very different from your own.

For what it was made for, it was a great movie. Not very scary per se , more of a supernatural thriller than an outright fear film. Overall the Director did a really good job establishing mood and using the safety of day vs the uncertainty & fear of night. The acting was well done, and I believed the fear of the characters, but the majority of the climax is off camera ( original version & release version). Personally I prefer the original (non Spielberg) ending. But the release version is alright as well, but added more for a "final scare" rather than the original which seemed more of a viable ending.

I think if you go see it, like most people have said, go see it in a full theater, while its dark out and you will have a good time, most likely. Granted , it does move slowly in the beginning, and does take some energy to invest into the story. Overall I'd give it 3½ out of 5 stars - definitely worth seeing at least once, but if you can get it, watch the original version ( available online) vs the theatrical release, but that sort of ruins the whole "see it in theaters" opinion that I hold. Maybe go see it in theaters then watch it online and choose for yourself.

i saw the online version, and i wasn't that scared actually. it was entertaining to watch and it makes me want to see the theatrical version now.

I'm going to watch it in a few hours.

My friends keep saying that they got so scared which gets me really excited to watch it :O
But I hear that others also say it sucked. I just hope I at least enjoy it if I don't get scared.


EDIT: Ok I just came back from watching it. It was.....boring at times. Some scary parts but
not FREAKY like everyone else said. Story was pretty short, too. And the "scary parts" were not exactly scary.
I got bored at some parts of the movie and the scary level was not high enough.
Overall the movie was ok.

It was so.... scary
lol, when it comes to the time they're sleeping, it gets all suspense-y
And it would be more scary if you really think about it scene by scene, and try to believe that it's real.
and you'd have troubles sleeping after
of course it wouldn't be scary if you don't look at the scary parts man!

I watched it and for me it's just okay. It's kinda boring in the first half of the movie but I really got scared in the last few scenes.

I have to say, this is the worst movie ever. Shaky cam is great and all, not bashing that, but this movie is complete... arrgh!! I want my time back both from watching the movie and seeing all the hype about it being the scariest movie ever.
