ye. In most school's here in sg, there's a military band. Its something like a marching band but it doesn't march. It's something like an orchestra as well but minus the string instruments. There's always someone playing the triangle in those bands and they'd catch my attention

I used to play the xylophone in a marching band. They use it often but of all the instruments in the band, it's the one that people don't give pretty much crap about using. Most people just wanna join cuz it looks cool, and then create crappy music. It doesn't become a musical instrument anymore but a noise weapon.

Also, those are just variants of the xylophone. The real xylophone is huge, cannot be carried while playing, played using a stick in each hand and is laid down horizontally on a stand.

balalaika comes to mind (Black Lagoon reminded me of it), the bucina, Didgeridoo, the shofar, and conches.
