I'm about to start playing guitar, but i cant choose between Electric guitars and Acoustic guitars... Which do u recommend and why?

P.S. Please dont answer with a "Choose whatever you want to play" or anything along those lines"

hiho, i've been playing guitar about 11 months now, a few tips to learn.
Start with acoustic, because its harder to play, and when your actually good switch to electric and its easy as hell to learn, but also don't buy a really expensive guitar, basically you get what you buy, but your not skillful enough to appreciate it yet.

As for songs though, i focus on older rock such as the beatles, because in my opinion they are probably the most skillful and amazing band. For starters practice chording, then transitions.
As for songs learn: Smoke on the water - by jimmy Hendrix
Stair way to heaven - led zeppelin

ya and i would recommend too for beginners to satrt with the classical guitar, its way too soft,
and when you learn your theories and arpeggios you can go with the e guitar, and blues is really easy to learn if you know your theories the 1,3,5 or root 3rd 5th notes,
and with the power of the internet you can learn everything that you dont need to hire some lousy private music teachers,
just use your head haha

and one simple advice for the starters

practice like HELL!!! YA!! HA!!

just simply 1 to 2 hours of practice and exercise everyday you will be good like john petrucci in no time

For reals? Well I guess that's your opnion. I think Electric is way more easier to play and way a lot funner! When I first started I started with like single string songs and moved onto power chords. And modernize rock music and stuff. O_o Plus my acoustic guitars hella weird. It hurts like hell when you try to just hold the string down becuase like the string are way to high up and hard to froce down. iono how to explain it. That's why I like my electric one better

Lemme explain this in a good ol' fashioned manner:

I recommend an acoustic for a begginner, and I've been playing for a while.
Simply put, an electric or acoustic doesn't matter, it depends how you use it, an electric guitar can act as an acoustic if tuned right, and there are those electro-acoustic guitars.
The effects are what matters, now, there are effects like distortion, chorus, wah, etc. usually for the electric guitar. Those I don't recommend for a begginner. It's easier to grab a tune by ear without the effects, much easier.
There are 2 types of acoustic guitars, mainly, I recommend a nylon string guitar for a begginner, steel strings tend to be troublesome, they used to be for me at least.
Get an acoustic, it's easier to equip, tuning the amplifier is not a bitch, and you can carry it around and pose with it.
And, distortion and effected electric guitar solos need more skill. Get skilled with the acoustic, then buy yourself a good ol' electric Yamaha peice of shit, just like mine.

Edit: Ah and, don't worry about your fingertips, they get toughened up either ways, just needs more practice with nylon stringed guitars. Nylon strings do not break very easily, I've had the same nylon strings for 6 years now, yes, 6. While I changed the steel strings about 10 times in 2 years specially the thinnest E string, steel strings rust as well, making them sound worse than when you initially bought them. Nylon is constant, nylon is good.
