christmas came from about 4 sources, but they WERE all areligious. yule, the roman feast that was actually on the 25th, some other feast that was on the 25th, and jesus...as well as saint nicholas. all of them were religious, but had very little to do with our current christmas.

so i dont really believe in celebrating it. i buy gifts for people because if i dont, theyll get pissed, even tho ive said i dont care if they buy me stuff. i mean, i like it, but eh if it doesnt happen. i like getting together with family and eating delicious food (only time of theyear i really get to, my mom doesnt cook, and my cooking sucks), but only for a lil while.

Well if you wanted to get further into it . I will just fill in the lines a bit Yes, it did originate around other regions first. The Christian church wanted to convert people but even if they did convert, people would Celebrate their winter celebration of their previous religion. Such as pagans with winter solstice. Also no one knew the true birth date of Christ. So the Church adopted the Holiday into their own. Deciding to celebrate Christ's birth on that day (though it is not the true date) and giving it a Christian name. If anyone is willing to fill in more details please do.

I would like to have a new computer because mine is so slow and it's a laptop so the screen quality is more brighter than it should be. Also the space on it is very less so on a new computer I can play more games and such. ^__^

actually, christians took it from the pagan romans, who took it from the etruscans, gauls and germanics (they were indo-europeans at one point, had a lot of the same characteristics). the christians stole it from rome who stole it from these 3. but thats 1 part of christmas. there are some others. liek the christmas TREE comes from the gauls and germanics worshipping trees, believing that their gods lived within them. santa claus comes from saint nicholas, and some other english dude, and some german dude. all of christmas came from multiple places.

and this isnt my opinion simple, this is its origins...there are perhaps others, but these ones are well known, and well documented. jesus wasnt born in december, he was born in the autumn (september is the best guess).

yup. i accepted that facts.
with due respect to the people who believe to such practices,
those things don't cause me harm...
so, i don't anything against it.
and i love christmas season anyway.
i evenatually will celebrate it on december..
no matter when Jesus really was born.

'eh, holiday season is basically my "christmas" I do celebrate it, but not for the Jesus birth thing, I don't care of some extra-retard was born on the 25th of september and I don't think anyone should respect him as if he was a god.

To me: Christmas = fuzzy time of year, with trees, calm nights, snow, frestof and baked goods.

Oh: And all I want is a new webcam.

hey!, im some retard born on september 25

I believe those pagan romans were called the cult of Mithras. It was most likely created christmas because it was a holiday that could appeal to several cults to convince them to convert. In fact, during the original celebration, they practiced gay sex.The middle eastern winters would have snowed and it definetely did not because shepherds would not have been able to see stars nor would they even be herding their flocks.

As for christmas....
All I want for christmas is you
... or a sheep.
