I know what you mean, even though I'm a girl! It really bugs me too! Like when a guy is so pretty that the seme falls for him even though he's not gay. And worse, when the seme thinks that he is a girl at first, then realises that he's a man, and falls for him nontheless. Come on! No guy ever looks THAT pretty. I hate it when they make the seme over "macho" too. It's lame. Have you seen Okane ga nai? Ayase looks like a squirrel, and Kanou is a giant who's thrice his size!

yes definitely hot, and cute at times. I also enjoy the plot as well as the drawings. I guess I would have to say so far my fave Yaoi is "Gay's Anatomy" - It has a good plot, very hot and detialed in drawing, cute and fun to read. And I'm currently reading "Yellow-Omnibus addition Part 1" it's good so far

Yaoi/Shounen Ai are very interesting, although some people can have some prejudice against it because of the love between men. But you know what? Usually the plot is so well written and the stories in a lot of them show a lot more of content than the conventional seinen/shoujo mangas. And curiously, lots of them are written by women for the women.
I don't have anything against it and read more Yaoi (except shota) than seinen/shoujo manga.
Example of good ones (besides Jonjou Romantica)?
Aisaretaino, Ame nimo Mayuwanai , Boku wa Kimi no Tori ni Naritai, Cage , and lots more...

I've never read Yaoi before. And I don't think I'll start now. But I don't mind others reading it, like my friends.
I just prefer other mangas than those. >.>;

i just love their drawings. the animation is beautiful and the series is more satiesfying than shoujo manga.usually in yaoi anime in half of the episodes the pairing has already bcome a couple.unlike shoujo anime that always remain unsolved even though the pairing has realize each other feeling.so,we need to read the manga furthurmore. in yaoi anime the couple has more physical action than shoujo anime.its a fanservice 4 yaoi fangirls.me as shoujo lover cant acccept yaoi no matter how wonderful the art was.no offence 2 yaoi fans

Yaoi rocks. So glad I came across it. The romance is so much more compelling since everything is somehow more dramatic. The smex isn't too bad either. lol.

Yes, I read it and have my own characters too.
I really enjoy it, but I'm actually quite picky.
As much potential as the genre has, a lot of the stuff they've been coming out with has been really generic lately, not that that doesn't apply to other genres as well. It does. I just really can't get into these stereotyped rape = love, ect. rushed situations. That's one of the reasons I ship a lot too, there tends to be a better storyline and more advanced character development and I can just get into the relationship more. Contrary to what seems to be popular belief, shipping does not make you a retarded fangirl that wants to see any two guys going at it.
There are legitimate yaoi titles that I enjoy a lot. My current favorite manga is Kaze To Ki No Uta which is one of the first yaoi, published in the 1970s, and it's excellent. There are other good ones too, it just takes a bit to find them.
