Videos Not Working At All |

About 30 minutes ago, Crunchyroll will not stream ANY videos. It goes through the contact to the website and quits. IE says that the site stopped with errors. What really gets my goat is there is no way to easily contact people for a broken site. It is my day off and I was only able to watch one show. The service here has been getting worse with video not loading correctly or sluggish. It is nice that someone is making the site pretty. However, someone NEEDS to fix the PERFORMANCE!

I had posted in the Site Support thread.
http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-1/site-supporthelp-ask-technical-questions-here/?fpid=28507615 Basically there was a piece of hardware that broke and had to be replaced which was causing some videos to not work. I think everything is up and running now. So if you are still having problems, it is most likely independent of the issue I just listed and you'll need to tell me about it. |

it is constant pausing on videos. Most likely affecting those of use with slower connections ever since the new player was installed and the videos won't buffer enough when you pause the video. Case in point is Sasameki Koto 5 on simple SD quality.

I've been watching Naruto for a long time here in crunchyroll, but in the last 3 or 4 days thing aren't working as well as once was.
A few days ago a problem started, the videos took forever to start, and now they arent starting at all. The screen shows itself as if ready to start the video, but nothing happens. Yesterday i could at least watch the "Think with your dipstick", but today, absolutely nothing. I've clared all browser data and have also tried the flash configuration thing u guys told some other guys to try. The same thing works in all browser i tried, incluyding, chrome, firefox, opera, safari and ie, so i'm all out of ideas. (Sorry for my english) The video just sits like this: |

I came here because dattebayo.com does not support Naruto anymore. This site is going places and I like the overall effect, but we need a better media player OR at least an option for members to download content for local playback under license.
The player is buggy, but with a bit of fiddling I can manage it to work. And there needs to be a reside option for the Media player like youtube. Windows 7 is REALLY compact even at 1920x1200. |

If the video player never shows up; go to this link, uncheck the bottom 2 boxes and then recheck them. This will clear the local cache from Flash which could contain a bad file which causes the video player to not load.
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html If you are having problems where the video constantly pauses, it's either a DNS issue or an internet speed problem. The DNS issue would be solved by changing your ISP's DNS to something like OpenDNS's DNS (you should only use OpenDNS if you are in the USA or near any of their overseas servers). If your internet connection is slow, there's nothing we can do about that. Our video player only buffers a few minutes of the video in advance for legal reasons. If you can rule out these issues, then you may have a completely separate problem that I have not heard of. P.S. No one is being ignored, it's just that I have to answer all support emails, questions here, PMs sent to me, IMs, etc. So it just takes some time. =\ |

Its been two days now and I can't watch anything but I do pay for it. You guys are a pay site now so you should have more support people working not just one person (which is what seems to be the case) handling all these issues. Paying customers tend to want what we pay for. |

If you are seeing a still image and the video player never loads whenever you try to watch a video, doing what I said should have fixed the problem to the best of my knowledge.
If you did that correctly and it still isn't working, you should do the following so I can see if you are having a network issue. (Instruction for Windows) 1) Click the Start button and then click on Run. 2) In the Run window, type "cmd" without quotation marks and press Enter/OK. 3) When the black Command Prompt opens, type in "nslookup cp71915.edgefcs.net" without the quotation marks and press Enter. 4) Ttype "ping cp71915.edgefcs.net" without the quotation marks and press Enter. 5) Type "tracert cp71915.edgefcs.net" without the quotation marks and press Enter. 6) When those commands are done, right click anywhere in the command prompt, click Select All and press Enter to copy the text. Then paste it in a reply to this message and I'll check it out. Example: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600] Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation.
