My friends... this is unbelievable

Ok here goes.

A few days/weeks ago, one of my friends sold his for $900 (AUS) to his guild leader !

and just now, i was told one of my friends has been interviewed by Today Tonight because of his WoW addiction which was worse than the previous kid they interviewed.
some like playing for 36 hours straight.
He's been given $500 for the interview and he's gonna sell his account for $400 to $500.

Since it's been bumped back up, I'll comment on my WoW experience

Played near continuously for the last few years (with a couple breaks), and I finally managed to quit about a month ago. I had a 60 paladin well into my tier 2 set, guild just got Nef on farm. Overall I had a great guild and honestly that's the only reason I stuck it out so long.

But I just got tired of the timesink. My old hobbies - like anime and FF style RPGs - were pretty much dead. I looked at my hours played and realized how much of my life I'd spent there and I got more than a little concerned. I was already getting sick of the continual raiding, grinding, just the sheer amount of time that everything took. With the expansion coming out it was going to make matters even worse, especially since all that gear I worked my ass for was going to be worthless pretty damned fast. I missed games that had an end. I decided to pull the plug. Now I've been getting back into my old pre-wow life and have been enjoying being an anime geek again immensely.

WoW really isn't that expensive though... $15 is hardly anything, especially compared to how expensive anime, manga, and normal video games are. Do none of you have jobs? Of course that may explain why I see so few gold stars next to anyone's name...

btw, some of us just can't be stuffed going through the process of donating. well i noe i can't, i have no idea how you donate and all ... i have no credit cards, no bank accounts ... well none that i can actually use for leisure

Well if you look under the usernames azrael910, you would notice that most of us aren't even out of high school. It's difficult to play WoW or donate to CR if you do not have a way of transfering money and if you do not have a job or parents who are willing to pay for a monthly paying hobby.

I watch far too much anime to have time for something like wow. And even with anime I don't do stupid things like watching it for 36 hours straight... oh wait, yes i do... nevermind

I almost made it through a 24 hour anime marathon... then they started showing bad 80s vintage anime and I passed out for a couple hours till they started playing better stuff.

You don't have a checking account? They're pretty easy to set up and usually free. Just wander into your nearest bank, bring some cash to as an initial deposit, and *boom* checking account. They should send you your debit card soon. Get the routing number and account number, then just hook it up to Paypal and your set.

Credit cards are evil... never get one. If you need money get a loan from a bank instead (when you're old enough). It's a much better (and safer) way to build credit.

I believe many banks require that you be 18 to set up a checking account, but savings accounts work just as well with Paypal

I don't play it but i might buy it in the future now that i have a job to pay for teh monthly fee lol. But for now i'm going to hold it off since i already have GW to play with.

I love WoW for some Random Reason... And my server is Cool its Hellscream... I just love it but im suposed to be grounded so i cant play it tonight
