Being called a girl vs being called a women
Posted 11/5/09
( looked for a minute couldn't find anything like this )

I've noticed that some women snap at me when i call them girls and some girls snap at me when i call them women. So I'm wondering what's the big deal about it ( looking for girls/women thought on this but guys are welcome to throw in their thoughts XD )

level of maturity i guess. [some] girls want to be known as a woman & not as a little girl anymore, as women don't want to be referred as a girl but as a mature being. it's the same when to me when i call my guy friends boys & not men (when they get on my nerves)

I don't think there's a big deal, really. I guess some people are just difficult for the sake of being difficult.

Not really a big deal to me, some just prefers to be called women, because they want to be more mature, and some prefers girl. It doesn't matter. :/

What the---?! Do people actually care? I would never care if anyone called me a girl or a woman. Either way I'm both, aren't I?
The only time I remember getting upset is when I was 8 years old and tried to convince everyone I was 20. I kept trying to convince my older cousins to call me an "older and sophisticated woman."
Instead I got teased and called a baby.
Bastards...who the hell picks on an 8 year old girl when she's trying so hard to be grown-up?

I think that using woman instead of girl or vice versa could completely change the meaning of what is being said... it kind of shows the maturity level of the subject.
welll... usually it does. sometimes girls just like fussing about what people call them :x

I think some think if you get called a girl you're immediately a child which makes them think you think their immature or something. I honestly don't care what I get called though.

maybe there's something snappy about the way you say it...
i think women should be addressed to older females
and girls more likely addressed to the younger ones..
im young..so i dont think im suited to be called a woman
