What the---?! Do people actually care? I would never care if anyone called me a girl or a woman. Either way I'm both, aren't I?
The only time I remember getting upset is when I was 8 years old and tried to convince everyone I was 20. I kept trying to convince my older cousins to call me an "older and sophisticated woman."
Instead I got teased and called a baby.
Bastards...who the hell picks on an 8 year old girl when she's trying so hard to be grown-up?

haha i would sooooo have done the same xD

I guess most people believe that being a woman is being more mature.

( looked for a minute couldn't find anything like this )

I've noticed that some women snap at me when i call them girls and some girls snap at me when i call them women. So I'm wondering what's the big deal about it ( looking for girls/women thought on this but guys are welcome to throw in their thoughts XD )

When you call a woman a girl, Its like you consider them imature.

When you call a girl a woman, It's like you think she is old.

Sucks I know, I don't care what I'm called as long as it's not insulting or rude.

I don't like it when I'm called a girl, I mean I'm a flipping adult! I mean it's not like you'd call a 24 year old guy a 'boy;' you'd call him a man. I've worked so hard to be an adult so call me a woman lol

I'm okay if someone calls me a girl or a woman.

I shall be addresses as Queen or Countess Vladimiria. Calling me girl will result in you being consumed by a festering disease.

Hahahaha, this is funny ;D
Well...i sometimes get bothered when ppl call me a lil gurl, i juz say "Does my body look like a lil gurlz?" XD tht always makes them shutup.
Ppl dont want to be called a women yet, coz some ppl think u have to have sex first, b4 u become a woman.
So the best thing to call a girl is "A Lady"

Good. You are one who listens to reason, unlike so many other people.

there are many variables to how the terms can be used as well as reasons to use either.

as an older guy if I use the term girl to someone half my age its not being disrespectful of the person but acknowledging the difference in our ages.

yet I could just as simply use the term young women to describe a group of teens.

yet on the other side when guys my age mention that we're going out with the girls (it usually refers to bringing the wives along) it'll have no reference to they're maturity or lack of.

but there's also using either term specifically to describe maturity or lack of of a person or either can be used in sexist terms.

usually its more polite to use the term woman/women when referring to the female sex when speaking in general terms.

personally I can't see myself calling any teen a woman because there's just too large a gap between our ages unless like above I'm refering to young women or young woman in conversation.
