This is not an error so it can't be "fixed". When we license shows we strive to secure as many territories as possible, but sometimes our licensors do not have the rights to all territories available to license to us. In order to continue to support the industry and be a reputable partner, we need to enforce that the shows we have on our site are only available in the territories that we have secured the proper licenses for. If a video is not available in your region, we’re sorry and are unable to offer a solution for that specific show at this time. There are some exceptions, for example, we were able to gain worldwide rights for Naruto Shippuden for Anime Members.

For a list of all the shows that are available in your region, please checkout the links below:

Does that mean a member subscription won't help either? It's kind of useless to be a member and only get to watch an anime no more than 60 titles Image

Yes, even with Anime Membership you will not be able to get around these restrictions except in special cases.

We were able to get worldwide rights for Naruto Shippuden for Anime Members. For normal members, there are a few countries that can't watch Naruto Shippuden. There may be a couple of other minor exceptions but I don't know them off hand.

XSorry my money is not available in your bank account because of licensing restrictions. This money will never be available to you until 100% of your product is available to people who pay 100% of the subscription fee.

Oh, and don't think that means I can't see your product, oh, ho nope, I would lose nothing from not paying the subscription. I don't condone the methods but I do certainly understand why they exist.

So, er, Buck your ideas up ASAP.

It seems you guys don't understand why there are region restrictions even though I explained it above (please read the posts in thread). This is not something we can just change since it's not up to us to determine these region restrictions.

You can tell us to 'change our ways' but that won't accomplish anything.

I understand fully why there's region restrictions, but, good sir, you seem to think that we will take it in the face and then turn around and say "Yes, sir, can I have another?" because of there being an explanation.

I'm sorry if the Japanese have their asses shut so tight as to only let Americans see their animated funny books but unfortunately I'm not paying 100% of the charge for 30% of the shows and, I'm not in the mood to not see these shows ether.
I'm not admitting to pirating these shows, but I know that they're people who sympathise with people who do because they are not being serviced properly by Crunchyroll or it's partners.

And, honestly, I think it's nothing short of stupid to put something on the internet, the World Wide Web (unless WWW has chanced it's meaning, and I highly doubt that), and then expect people to accept that they can't get it because they be [insert stereotype here] philistines with dirty money.

Treat us like pirates and that's EXACTLY WHAT WE WILL BE.

I repeat my statement, Buck your ideas up and do it quickly, otherwise expect no sympathy when your releases get pirated.

Also, I would revise your statements towards providing entertainment world wide, especily when it pertains to shows that are region blocked. It is simply cruel to lead people on, especially towards greats shows like Black Jack, only to say, "oh no, not you you tea sipping twat, piss off".

I don't understand why you keep saying that we should 'Buck our ideas up', there's nothing different that we can do.

If the company doesn't have the right to distribute in -Insert Random Country-, what can they do about it? Many of the companies we work with are only TV Broadcasters so their rights are limited. Most of the region restrictions are not determined by any other variables.

I understand that you and other people are pissed off because of region restrictions but saying that we, or the companies we work with, should just let everyone watch the videos doesn't accomplish anything since it's just not possible. There's a lot of legal red tape that you are not accounting for and if we released our series world wide without the proper rights to do so, it would be illegal. I hate region restrictions as much as anyone else but there's nothing that can be done.

We know our releases get pirated and also know that there is almost nothing that we can do about it.

Well, expect a lot of piracy and no sympathy, then.

And since when was Kadokawa, Toei, Tezuka Productions or Bandai suddenly "Broadcasters"?

Also, your not going to fix future press releases then? You'll lie about things being available world wide? Well, Leopards don't easily change their spots, I guess. Once Crunchyroll, the skeezy ebalms world of anime proliferation, always Crunchyroll the skeezy ebalms world of anime proliferation. Instead of stealing other people's hard work and time, you will steal people's money with lies and segregation.

It's sad that this dialogue has to end as such, but much like Crunchyroll itself, it is doomed to failure and the net result of me not paying for your flimsy subscription.

Man I have no clue where you get lies and segregation from. It still seems you are not understanding the situation. I'd advise you to thoroughly re-read my posts as I can't think of any other way to reiterate what I already said in order for you to understand unless you become more open minded.

If you actually want to understand this, I suggest you just PM me about this since this conversation is all over the place and doesn't make any sense.
