Yume Nikki (ゆめにっき?, lit. Dream Diary) is a 2005 independently produced adventure game by homebrew Japanese developer Kikiyama. The game was created using RPG Maker, but has no role-playing game (RPG) elements. The game is currently in version 0.10, meaning the contents of the game could change without notice.

Players explore the dreams of the fictional character Madotsuki. It is through this that the player is able to view scenes that are recognized as being genuinely disturbing at times, such as being swallowed by a large red sewer-creature, meeting a disembodied head character known only as Uboa (who then transports the player to an endless stretch of map) and experiencing a looping FMV sequence with a girl with five arms. (Ed note: That's not the only way to find her, of course.)

I played this game a while back, and then recently rediscovered it. I started playing and forgot how great it is. It really is a strange game, kind of disturbing, but still amazing.

Have you played it? Did you like it? What, if anything, upset you the most?

This game is great. I downloaded it a while back. it's sooo creepy! The music, the characters you collect, everything! Definetly a neat game.

I love that game, and the creepiness of it all. Although the ending was a little depressing, but it has a great replay value, because I always discover something new. -shudders at the thought of ubao- I discovered the ubao on accident, and I was scarred... for life. xD
