I was just woundering who if anyone had played this game still, its from 2003 and was poorly advertised despite the massive success of the first game, its really well worth a look.

I was playing online the today and it seem to have a fairly active online community (for a game 5 years old) I found about 30 pretty friendly people when i logged in tonight (I had not played for about 4 years). You just cant beat doing bombing runs out of couds so they do see you coming and taking out a battlecruisers engines and turrets before sending in your marines to take it over. Reason I mention it here is that it reminded me loads of ledgends of galactic heroes which is one of my favourite anime.

Mind its no easy game to play I got my butt handed to me all night, but it was immense fun!!

So what were you impressions of the game?

this was one of the greates RTS game I have ever played.
It clearly depicted my fantasy of space ship battles and with all the mods out there there is tons of replay value in this.

The graphics are old by todaies standard, but surprisingly its art style makes it look good even from up close.
It surprises me this game was made in 2003. when I first played it at 2003 I thought it was way ahead of its time, with its graphhics and UI and everything about it.

Only thing that was disapointing about this game is the short singleplayer campain, but all the mods out there like the gundam mod, battlestar galactica mod, PDS mod and tons of other mods easily compinsates for the short singleplayer.

The online play is also fun.
