Well if hair color is kind of the same thing..
It's dark because of the sun.. same with eye color.
Not really sure about eye size though.. or the facial features

For Example: Typical California girl: Blond Hair, Blue Eyes, White or Tan Skin
(Depends how long she spends tanning)
Africa(n): Black Hair, Brown Eyes, Dark Skin

If that were true, that would mean that Black people will handle sun better than Scandinavians, which is not always the case.

Skin color is simply the amount of melanin you are born with. The more you have, the darker your skin color. It has nothing to do with how hot it is outside, otherwise the generations of whites living in Johannesburg and Austrailia would be much darker by now.

And a tan is created when your skin burns, the same way when you roast a marshmallow the outside turns that golden brown. You're still white after the tan fades.

Then that good. We all human.

There is just one race but some crazy people keep on insisting that there are "Caucasoid, Mongoloid, Negroid" and other stupid terms for different ethnic groups. I believe that all these skin colours and facial features derived from the weather they live in. For example, black people got their skin colour from overexposure from sunlight in Africa, white people got their skin and hair colour from ice age Europe which didn't get much sunlight back then and East Asians got their eyes from extreme windy conditions.

Whenever a person say a race, I think of humans, vampires, ghosts, zombies, aliens, angels, demons, espers, etc.

South east africa is thought to be the cradle of man however a recent discovery in germany at the messel pit might change all of that. This newly discovered fossil is around 47 million years old. While currently text books will read that 3 and half or so million years ago man came from africa it is now becoming apparent that our ancestors date back even farther. Keep in mind that all of this research is still theory but I believe that as technology increases we may find that what we currently think is the cradle of life may not be true. An example of this change in thinking would be looking at the earliest civilizations. Originally we thought civilizations dated back about 4 thousand years but now due to texts and evidence found the earliest found civilization found now is about 10,000 years or older. There is even evidence that we may at one time have been more technologically advanced then we currently are. If you are intrested in the evolution of man I suggest looking up the messel pit discovery or watching "the Link" on history international. As faar as the differences of people go as asuraizen said it takes many generations to adapt to our environment which is why we still may apear to be very different to each other even though we really are all just humans.
