@Purple I think we all want to read a sample of your book :)

@DragonBow Thanks! I'm gonna go for it. I'm just off the phone with her, and I feel like I should go for it so I shall! :)
(I feel like I might be showing off since stuff is going well for me)
Curse the rich thinking they own everybody else!

@ Purple
yah, i agree with llinka and Dragonbow, i would also want to read a sample of you book.

@llinka
Don't worry, you're not showing off, I'm happy that it works out for you even if it isn't the case for me.
And about that enemy of mine, I'm not sure what it is that trigger our hate for each other. Well, i can try talking it out with her, since both of us are in the same group for one of my project. At first i didn't want it, but my teacher arranged the groupings, so i can't tell the teacher i don't want to be in the same group as her. Will let all of you know how it will be after i talk to her.

And anyways, I'm thinking maybe i should give up on Z because i have a feeling that this relationship may hurt even more than i first expect it to be. I'm thinking of pulling out before i fall in deeper into the relationship, pulling out before it becomes so deep that i won't be able to stand the pain. we're not even friends yet and I have the feeling of having a knife stabbed in to my heart again and again whenever i know that Z is speaking ill of me and that she hates me.

@purple - do you read... nana to kaoru by any chance..? just wondering ^^
Btw, those hours of leisure i get, i'm sure feel far better than all the hours of your leisure time purple why? cose i work hard everyday for those hours! makes it feel better than your easy-to-get hours leisure.
btw, like lots of other people have said - lets hear the blurb. it better be fantasy or fiction. ^.^ i can't stand any other kind!

@Dragonbow0 - as annoying as some things are, i believe the hardships are worth it. the only thing i truly wish i could have more of though, is leisure time. i get about 3/24 in a day of pure unadulterated leisure. which for a young lass like me is certainly nowhere near enough! ( i could imagine purple saying this ^^)

@llinka - no! don't curse the rich! curse those who gain wealth at others expenses.
siiigh... this is why communism is so good! the only problem with communism is when the 7 sins appears. if those didn't exist, communism would be the best form of government... but since people are lazy, they won't work as hard. since capitalism makes people work for money, it wipes out this problem. you get what you work for. rich people deserve their money. the second they abuse their positions i feel that they aren't worth the money.

@MissYay - is all good?
Also... why (when you did your uber picture) was my name written in pink..? any reason or am i just connected with pink now? why did i have a smaller speech bubble than ember and dragonbow0 too? and why was my word "too" written as "2" when everyone else you wrote had correct grammar?!?!?! WHY ME?! *goes into corner and cries, feeling that she's been patronized by MissYay...*

@ember - me? competitive? you haven't seen me play squash, tennis or badminton -.-' badminton especially. tennis i'm only average at, squash is some form of stress relief for me and badminton... is a game where you become one with the racket! seriously! that's how i see it and when i start a roll in badminton i just don't stop. once before i got 0 - 21 to me !! (i've only had 3 flawless victories in all the time i've played in my badminton club... so i'm proud of those ^^) i do some competitions in badminton but i usually only get in the top 3. if i get #1 then i'm proud of myself ^^ if not, oh well. i find badminton fun ^^

YES!!!! i have NO homework and i currently have flukable lessons tomorrow!

I do read Nana to Kaoru. If that was an inspired guess, my hat's off to you and how did you guess? Of course, if you just noticed me commenting on the Nana to Kaoru discussion threads at MF, not quite so impressive. :)
I'm quite fond of it actually--I think it's a rather sweet love story that happens to be all the more cute from revolving around exploration of mild BDSM. Not yuri, sorry Ember.

The book is science fiction. Fairly low-tech as science fiction goes; you might argue that it's not *really* science fiction at all, because although it takes place in the future on a hypothetical colonized planet of another star, it has basically no technology that isn't either current or a pretty basic extension of what's current. I take some technologies that are experimental or in early stages now (notably fabbers AKA 3d photocopying) and make them mature, but that's about it. It kind of takes military SF and turns it inside out a bit. The main character lives in a near-utopian social anarchist society that relies heavily on decentralized energy (e.g. solar) and manufacturing (fabbers) technology, co-ordinating society through a combination of heavy participation and well-designed computer networks. This society gets invaded by a neighbouring country which uses a more typical modern model, with corporations, representative democracy, more centralized technologies, and frequent invasions of other countries "for their own good"--generally rather analogous to the US. The main character gets involved in the fighting; one major issue for his people is not so much winning the war as winning it without ending up with a hierarchical army that would mess with the basis for their society. So for me it's been interesting working out a model of an armed force largely without ranks, without the concept of "discipline" as we think of it, without anything like a set-in-stone organizational structure, all based on horizontal self-organizing networks, online voting and decentralized decision making, and then showing it in action.
The main character is a nice guy. Competent, an effective soldier as it turns out, but not a superman in any way. His most effective skill in battle basically is being careful not to get him or his people killed. He doesn't want to die, doesn't want his friends to die, is generally very conscientious about arranging things so the other side will do some dying and then his people will run away before the favour can be returned. What you might call the female lead, his love interest, the more I write her the more she turns into a bad tempered, vengeful stone-cold killer. Very, very dangerous woman with a sniper rifle.
So yeah, I could put up bits of it maybe. I'll think about which scenes might work without context.

Hello My school got flooded today, haha!
And tomorrow I'm seeing my best friend... I shall talk to her! (I keep going over what I'll say in my head... I over analyze a lot)

@Meifang Cats are the best animals! Plus you can use them as innuendo... (Maybe that's just me) And only give up if you're sure. It'll be hard to, but I don't think you should let someone have that much power over you. Like ember says though, it could be worth it in the long run...
http://www.ourmanga.com/Sasameki_Koto/ I've never used the site, but the manga is there! :)

@Opal I was just wondering what annoys you the most, cause you seem opinionated (in a good way, of course!)

And have any of you read Hanjuku Joshi? I'm about half way through it. It's pretty good

OK, that's twice now crunchyroll lost my post. Getting a titch annoying. This time I'll use the umbrella strategy. I'll paste the post into Word so even if it's lost I won't have to retype it. Then it won't get lost, just like when you remember to bring your umbrella it won't rain.
(Didn't work. Lost it yet again. Once more unto the breach . . . )

Sasameki Koto is scanlated by Dynasty scans, so they'll have chapters first. And they have a reader thing which works OK. So you can find it here:
http://thetime.ath.cx/reader
By the way, Dragonbow--congratulations on your self control. I didn't actually put any spoilers in that spoiler thing, I was just messing with you.

Hullo, FreakyWicked. I don't have love problems either, and nobody seems to mind me hanging around. I'm more the indulgent uncle around here. So, pull up a cushion and recline, or employ what other relaxation strategy seems good to you.

@Linka: "It is better to have tried and failed, then not to have tried at all." That one of the driving beliefs of my life, and it works pretty well for me. School flood isnt fun. Over thinking things is something I do alot so I understand what your saying. I always have one thing prepared and end up doing something stupid anyways....

@Opal: You should have more free time for someone your age. Most of my free time goes to sleep, and I hate that. (I am anti sleep, and am know on occasion to practice sleep deprivation). Dont tell linka not to curse the rich! She can do it if she wants . As far as communism goes, alot of stuff looks good on paper, but fails in reality.

@MissYay: I love your cat! I used to have one, and I was going to get another; but I cant afford it right now. Have fun on your day trip I hope it goes well.

@Purple: Sounds interesting to me. I also find it funny that the enemy is similar to the US. I look forward to hearing more about it, and dont blame yourself every book needs a trigger happy person, or a psycho. Made me laugh "mild BDSM" is like an oxy-moron. I have also lost my post multiple times, becuase when you shift pages it deletes so now I copy paste to clipboard after every response. Thanks for the compliment on self control XD I went back and looked once I saw your post.

@Freaky: Welcome to the group Im the person who wished he could be a troll, but doesnt have the time. If you ever have any problems dont hesitate to lay them out.(We obviously don't judge, and just want to help)

To all: I cant decide whether or not I should Make Japanese or Italian food for Jessica's Birthday. Any opinoins? (I know how to cook both fine, and I know she would apreciate a more romantic home made dinner, with a romantic subtext, which I have taken care of)

Thanks for welcoming me. I already know that you’re all great bunch of folks because I followed you from MF. I saw that you had problems with topics being closed and all, so I wanted to make a forum, but since I’m like 2 weeks or more late in reading, I’ve found out that you ended up here, so I came

My only love problem is that I have long distance relationship. But I knew its gonna be like that from the start, so I got used to it.

@Dragonbow0 - My choice would be lasagna I made them for my girlfriend (ok, ok, my mom made them, I’ve just served) and she loved it.

Lasagna maybe, but you have to have a good recipe--lasagna can be tricky. It can end up too salty, or too wet, or too spinach-y, or stuff. When it's good, it's very good.
When it comes to Italian, lately I've found that it's hard to beat smoked salmon linguini in a rose sauce (that's like half tomato, half cream sauce). Made it a couple times for occasions, and yum!
Most of my favourite Japanese food is the unromantic kind, like noodle soup. I expect there is Japanese food that's good and romantic, but it's not what pops into my head when I think about Japanese food, so I don't have a serious opinion there.

@llinka
I read hanjuku joshi too!!! it was really very good. I keep going back to re-read even though i finished reading quite some time ago. and thx for the link

@purple
Thx for the link, now i can download all the chapters. Your book seems interesting as well. hmm, what do you mean by crunchyroll losing you post??cause it's never happen to me before since i first joined CR

@freaky
Welcome to the group You don't really need to have a love problem to join our group, so just sit back and relax. and if you have any problems, (it doesn't need to be about your love life only), you can tell us.

@Dragonbow
Well, I don't really think Japanese food would be suitable if you want to make a romantic dinner. I think Italian would be better. And as purple and freaky said, i think lasagna will be more suitable.
