omg I think it would be fun to be a voice actor...but most anime fans hate dub actors. so It would be a thankless job mostly. so I thonk it would be fun but everyone would probably hate me cuz I was doing dub

Uh.. hmm.. shota, loli, what gave you the idea that they support pedophilia.. insert sarcasm.
Really though, I think the Japanese mentality is more along the lines of give the pedophiliacs in our society something to ogle at and they won't go out and attack my children which admittedly does seem to work x-x.

As for using child voices for female characters. .I always figured it was just for the cuteness factor or the fact that maybe Japanese females, or at least a lot of Japanese females I've noticed often have higher pitched voices in the first place than their western counterparts.

As for voice acting.. I've thought of voice acting but mainly doing american cartoons not Japanese. I love Japanese voices, but to honest, you get to be a bit more wacky and off the wall with american voice acting than you do Japanese so I always thought it might be slightly more amusing and keep my interest a bit more although admittedly the acting roles are a lot better with Japanese voice acting than they are american voice actors.

The pay is also better.
Voice actors get endorsement deals in Japan and are well known for their acting how many people can actually name off a voice actor in the western portion of the world in the first place.
It's why I've considered it to be a fun career, but really.. I don't really know if I'd be satisfied especially considering that the pay is really not that great for voice actors outside of Japan.

i would love to do voice overs, even if its just a commercial, back when i was 18 y/o i started to work at universal studios orlando,fl
i started before the park opened, i worked in food service, but made alot of friends in the show dept, there used to be an attraction there that lrt people do a voiceover scene from a tv show, i used to go to the attraction alot because of the friends i knew there, so alot of times i would just go through the show just to watch the acting, untill one of my friends decided to pull me up to do the voice over part of the show, i tell you it was amazing, it felt like i was ment to do voice acting, even park guests thought i was part of that part of the show, and since then i have always wanted to do things like that,

but i had to quit my job there due to lack of hours and had to find a differant job, i have always liked acting, and i used to be quick in the head when it came to improv, just not too much in comedy, i can do an improv of drama easier, mabey because of past experiances, but im starting to drift again,

lets just say i like a challange, but from what i have read and found out ,in order to be considered for voiceovers, they want to see that you went to colladge and studied drama and things of that nature, i never did anything like that, just drama in high school
and they want more,

if they could just open there eyes and ears, they would find that the best people for the job might not have a degree, but the paasion it there, alot of successsful businesses were founded by people that never made it through high school, true talent in something is not learned by a book, i used to work for one small company, where the owner only had a 6th grade leval education, but had enough talent to start his own busines and stay successful for over 35 years,

but im drifting off subject again, so to that i say, yes i would love a chance at voice acting, especally in anime, alot of you hat dubs, but i has seen a few that were pretty good,

im sure nobody will agree with me but i think shuffle was dubbed pretty good, except one voice i think was used for two people,

but im sure to be contradicted about that, but thats how i feel
