I too would like PS3 playback very much. In fact, if people knew about such functionality it would bring alot more customers.

I just became a member with a two week free trial and I'm fairly certain that lack of PS3 support is going to be the only thing preventing me from purchasing a recurring membership.

I'd try using the older video player.

How do I do that? I can't find an option to use the older player anywhere.

Apparently the only way you can view a video via your PS3 on crunchyroll is if you do not log into your membership account. I find this a little disconcerting because I don't know why a feature (even if it is not officially supported) like that can not be accessible from a premium account.

It worked fine for a while and then one day it just stopped. I bought this membership primarily for the ability to stream content
onto my PS3 for my family (My whole family are otakus). This means for much of my family that they are now subject to commercials, have to watch it in standard definition and cannot see the latest ep even though all of these privileges have been paid for.

With the fact that boxee and pc ready tvs are available, I feel that those users who wish to use a pre-existing alternative in their
home should be compensated in some degree. I don't understand what was changed for the members media player (or server for that matter) but please find some way of restoring it to those settings or offering an alternative of some kind for users like me.

In the end it could only mean better business for all of those involved because I personally know of people who own ps3s, heard of the feature (orcoincidence, whatever you want to call it) and were going to purchase it, but have become hesitant after its removal.

^ Thanks for the info, I didn't realize that the videos work only when logged out. Should make it easier to solve the problem so I'll have someone look into it.

PS3 support WHILE logged in is crucial to get more memberships.

Agreed. No PS3 support will be why I don't renew.

I would like to concur. The PS3 has worked rather reliably up to this point, and consistently performed better than my PC's. "Full screen" on my PC's ends up just being a banner stretching across the center third of the screen, whereas on the PS3 it actually fills the full 1080i screen. Trying to read the subtitles when they're all squished like that starts to mess with the eyes after a while. Getting the PS3 working again will definitely help when it comes time to decide whether to renew or not.

Videos up to 480P quality should work once again though 480P seems to stutter a little during playback and 720P videos only play the audio.

Thank you all so much for addressing the issue. Everything is working fine for me (had a few brief slowdowns but not really anything to complain about), and 480p is more then enough HD support for me.I also have to say that site is running as a whole much better on my PS3m which is much more then I expected. Im really happy that you guys responded to your customers. I will make sure everyone knows about this, and hopefully get you guys a few more subscribers. I cannot express my joy enough

BTW 480p is NOT high definition. Its standard definition.

720p and 1080i and 1080p is.
