Tried that and it worked - but only at low resolution SD. Didn't get option for 480p much less 720p. Doesn't matter for some shows, but for others I really like the HD on the big screen.

It works fine for me on my PS3. I just watched a full episode of Code Geass.

Just wanted to say that in my case, a lot of the problems with the PS3 seemed to be due to the commercials and side ads giving the console bad indigestion. Some commercials will play fine, others will overload the memory and others will freeze it up. So I have to reload the page or go over and restart the PS3. It was always a gamble with what commercials will come up on the episode you're trying to watch, might get through a whole show with no episodes playing, or it'll freeze up right after the OP.

After taking nearly an hour to get through a recent episode of Naruto Shippuuden, I had enough, the 30 day trial came up so I took advantage to see how it works out. So far so good, one little hiccup at the start where the video kept loading at 720P, which is too strong for the PS3 and too heavy for my connection (even though I had it set at SD). It's fixed now. The PS3 seems to play in 480P mode alright too, nice and clear, although if you want to freeze-frame it or rewind a smidge to see something you might have missed, the image garbles up with artifacts for a moment before it clears. Personally I don't see the need for HD quality on animation, live action I can understand but..(?)

If the commercials actually loaded and played properly without crashing the PS3, I could have easily put up with them and the one week delay.

Crunchyroll has always worked for me on my PS3 (even if it's been slightly buggy in fullscreen mode). But today, after not doing so for a while, I tried to log into the site through my PS3, and now the login doesn't work.

I might try the mobile version and see if I can log in there, cross my fingers, and hope the cookie carries over to the main site.

Edit: Tried it and it worked like a charm. Just in case anyone else has the same problem, the URL for the mobile site is http://m.crunchyroll.com. After logging in there, just go to http://www.crunchyroll.com and you'll be logged in there, too.

Thank you for that tip, Tyenkrovy, I was experiencing the exact same issue, and logging in through the mobile site worked for me as well. I wonder why the regular site login stopped working...

Thanks for the tip! I haven't been able to watch any Crunchy anime for a whole week now and thought my days of seeing 480p on the big screen were over.

I totally have the same problem. I could watch anime from my PS3 in 480p without any problems until recently. I was logged out for some reason, so when I tried to log back in it wouldn’t let me. The “Log In” button does not respond or has a lock of some sort.

Didn't Sony announce that "Playstation Suite" SDK for November? So maybe CR can make a PS Vita/PS3 app with that.
