...LOL NO, those kids like war in general because they're little kids. Also, those kids didn't even know what a freakin' Gundam was. They ONLY, EVER, argued that feddies have cooler MS. They never even mention Gundam and considering the WB and Gundam very little in the OYW I doubt they'd know. Especially being civilians in a colony furthest away from the fighting.

Hmm......looking back now, I believe I never fully expressed my opinion on this.....so I might as well for the hell of it.

Geoxile is 100% right.

Good and evil are always ALWAYS a point of view depending on the side focused on. It's proven that neither side has a pure cruel motive, but nor do they want total peace. We really judge a side merely by whoever runs it.

It's also proven that those who gain too much power will inevitably loose their sense of right and wrong and do as they see fit; that basically sums up each and every Gundam plot in terms of generalizing.

This holds true to the real world as well. I am US born and yet I have some doubts of our country maintaining order; and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks so.

ANYWAY, destroyers, saviors, heros, and corruption is based on one's own beliefs and views.........

.......no matter what.

Its more of a point of veiw, the animes are usually show the federation side, and the gundam is a feddie design, if the original show was shown from the Zeon perspective, teh RX-78 would have been shown as a killing macine

Pretty much; but how do the pilots themselves feel about this topic? (Does Amuro see his gundam as a savior? Also, Kamille sees the Psycho Gundams as evil.)

I said how do ALL pilots feel about this topic.

Also; Psycho Gundam was not controlling Four; she was controlled through drug enhancements and experimentation. Rosmia Badam was controlled through psychic manipulation by Gates.

(In fact, the Psycho Gundams were made so that any newtype/cyber-newtype who was properly trained could manipulate through thought, not the other way around.)

its all from the side the story is told if the Gundam was a Zeon used MS it would be a destroyers like the Red(pink) Zaku
this in one time that GSD gives us a good example of in the beginning Zaft is shown as the good guys mainly Rey and Shin in a good light but 1/2 way it shifts(this is the main reason it failed) to show them a bad guys and the focused is moved.

Guess you're right about Point of View. (Why are we talking about Cosmic Century in UC Gundam?)

Perhaps the reason that they didn't fear gundams in UC because they think that it's just another high performance MS that can be defeated. Determination, confidence, hate, greed, ideology and the sense of nationalism is stronger than fear itself in UC and they'll stop at nothing to meet their goals. To most pilots in UC, they view the gundam as an obstacle that needs to overcome rather than the apocalyptic destroyer of mankind.

Evil as well as good weapons are only defined by those who uses the tools either for war or for protection. Either way, it does produces a significant boost. As for me, I wanna make my Gundam for evil.

it would have to destroy as well as help out.
even destroy to prevent wars.
I think it is a thoughtul idea to have them help out in every activity...
now and then.

Id help with police and the fire dept if I had my own Gundam.
Unless if I was called to war in the Middle East.
Id even help on secret missions like a Splinter Cell thing on covert missions.

I mean it is a very thoughtful idea to help, save, etc.

I'd have to agree with that analysis, it really does seem like the Gundams were viewed as a savior, a symbol of what was good and right. However that may have been because of the focus of the UC era in general. Stopping the enemy Zeon forces and the stories that surround the extended wars with Zeon forces, the Gundam was always the "good guy" and on that side. Take 00 for example, the Gundams are supposed to be a symbol of peace and freedom for the people as well, but it turns out the way they want to obtain that freedom is a tad bit twisted. Very much unlike the Gundams of the UC era.
