Me not What's the deal? Or I'll just google it, don't worry

Edit. Oh crap, of course I know this place. I'm not English and just didn't know how you spell this. Well it's not creepy, it's more depressing and really really sad.

The mothers of all "Creepy" places

Auschwitz 1 und Auschwitz 2 a.k.a. "Auschwitz - birkenau"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auschwitz_concentration_camp

almost half of Europe's Jews are exterminated in these camps.

I once knew so many creepy places, they just won't come to mind.

What about the Great Wall of China? I read they burried deceased workers inside the wall at some places during construction.

Anything else from Asia? There is still more from Europe in this thread.

edit:
Something like Higurashi's Hinamizawa.

edit2:
Also Tchernobyl doesn't really count. 1986 or something. Only 23 years doesn't really count as a ghost town and everyone knows why the people left. It's not really creepy.

An abandoned town/city where noone knows why the people left or where they went would be cool.

Haven't seen you for a while, hi.

Yeah, Prypiat is more turistic place. My friend was one of the composers for Stalker game and he was there. You should buy a ticket and follow the guide's commands etc. So you don't get an abandoned city feeling actually, according to his words.

Do you know any lost city sites? I knew one but lost the link

That was really interesting... Well, I know there's this one scary-ish place in my area, it's called bunny man bridge. Look it up, there's many scary stories from there. um, I remember there was a story about if you drive near the bridge at night, you can see bodies hanging from the top, and there was another story about a someone eating bunnies and dead bunnies were found around the bridge. I don't know if I should believe in it or not

Clinton Road.

Clinton Road is just 10 miles long, but the drive can feel never-ending when you're racing to keep ahead of the evil spirits that lurk about. This desolate stretch of road has all of the makings for the classic urban legend -- alleged paranormal activity, satanic rituals and phantom trucks that send drivers on a wild ride. More recently, it was a dumping ground for a mob hit man known as the Iceman. No haunted thoroughfare is complete without a dead man's curve, located about 3 miles into the hair-raising drive. The worst part? There are no exits on this lonesome highway.

Where is Clinton Road at? What state/country?

This post has given me places to look up and find out more about. I love it...always ready to know more about the creepy side of life....or death.....

Its in new jersey...ive been tempted to go there myself as im less then an hour away from it

isn't that where the jersey devil lives? I have a hunch, im wrong.
