IMO i think it makes the anime better when alot of the good guys die in the anime such in D. Grayman and Asura Crying 2, I like to see the good guys struggling it jsut makes the ending worth it i guess......I just wanted to see your opinions on that

I don't know about that, I guess it changes it a bit, however, it all depends on the anime. Gurren Lagann it was essential to the story line. But I think they would've been just fine not killing the main characters, the ending would've been a lot happier. And if you want literal, in Gantz every main character dies. And then they kinda die again, but a little more dramatically the second time. That series was just a giant anime of death.

Try watching Higurashi (try to watch past the 1st episode) when i saw that anime the good guys die and lose so much that it actually made me want to see a happy ending in my opinion

In Bokurano, you have 15 main characters each with a backstory that really makes you want them to live and by the end,

Tragedy themed anime are not appealing to the common masses but in my personal opinion, it makes the story even more interesting.

When an anime/manga character struggles to overcome their own obstacles, giving it all they have, even if they may die in the end, we as the watchers/readers can better relate to the characters and become fond of or dislike them.

I think it's necessary...because if the author wrote all "god characters" there wouldn't be much point to the story. But if it's to compliment the storyline my thoughts are that the death should happen at a point where the watcher/reader should have had enough time to develop an opinion of the character before they are killed off. Otherwise when the character dies in the second episode, instead of "GOOD RIDDANCE" or moving someone to tears, it's an "eh" moment.

Don't take me wrong on this one, I like Bleach a lot...but it seems like Ichigo has conveniently cheated death one too many times with a healer showing up at just the right moment, or something else. So he's getting up there with god character-ing. No pun on death god intended.
