Have any of you ever had a student or staff member of your school die? Cause I just recently experienced this and I feel really bad, I cant imagine what the parents have to go through. A lot of my friends knew the kid too. Teachers and student alike were crying and such. And to think that I always used to see this kid in the lunch line. I just saw him walking in the hallway a few days ago, and now hes gone. Also, the thing that pisses me off is that there are some idiot kids in our school that are actually making fun of us who are saddened and weeping over his death, stupid f***ups. Excuse my language.

Yeah. Someone in my school died a few months or maybe 1 year ago.Apparently, he jumped off the building he was staying on.But the whole school just remained oblivious.

My condolences to you.

I've experienced it too with my 4th grade teacher who passed away from an asthmatic attack. It was really hard on me and the rest of the class, school, and people who known her.
For the people who made fun of you, you should stand up and tell them that it's not a joke and that it's a heartless thing to do to mock people during a time of grief. You have all the right in the world to grieve.

The best thing to do is to talk it over with parents, teachers, or if your school has them, a counselor.

This thread is creepy. Well.. one of my schoolmates died in a car accident in July last year. Actually accidents like this happen quite often in my school area because the roads around it are really narrow. This year another boy got hit by a car but lucky for him, he only broke his arms.

It's really a relief that I've graduated, phew.

It happened 2 years ago, my friend's (well I didn't know him then) brother and some other senior died in a car crash. They were racing and they crashed into a tree because the car skidded(it was raining) My friend's brother's death was the most saddening one because he was in the back seat, and somehow his guts came out. Another victim was a girl who died on the way to the hospital. And the worst part was the driver(who is responsible for everything) had to amputate his legs which is suffering enough for him. No doubt it was shocking but I can't really sympathize with them because the driver inflicted this upon himself, he'll just have to bear the guilt. Besides that, some other guy died of brain cancer and a boy died of mysterious illness which had most of my friends crying..

Death occurs every now and then. I don't understand why you would want specifically mention school here.
Death of people we hardly know strikes terribly when:
1. The person died when he/she was in a healthy state
2. That person died too young
3. They didn't deserve it
4. The person left a lot behind, i.e. feed a family

I guess my point is that it I disagree with the word 'school' because death will happen eventually regardless of who or where ever you are.
But then if you had taken away the school, it might have turned into a duplicate thread..

no one in my school has died... yet.

I was too young to know them, they were much older than me, but we had a big assembly when the two of them died. One died in a stupid accident when his friends sprayed a can of de-icer down his throat, and the other in a car accident a few years after. So sad their little sister was around my age in school, poor girl. To lose two Brothers in such a short space of time, horrible.

Well a friend of a friend died in a car crash a couple years back. The whole school was in mourning because she was so popular. And I'm not talking about the "Sucks to be you" popular where you think everybody worships the ground you walk on, I mean popular, the actual meaning. She had a lot of friends, everyone she got talking to seemed to take a shining to her. I think I only spoke to her once, and she did seem nice enough. :/

Oh and this other girl who was in my year got cancer. Like, everyone thought she was dead because she disappeared for like a year, thankfully she's still here to tell the tale though. xD

Fortunately, no. But, my friend's cousin's girlfriend was one of the victim of the Virginia Tech shooting. Look her up, she's vietnamese.

Oh, and recently, my sister's friend died from cancer.

In this certain high school, there were some crazy stuff going on there last year. For example, there was this guy, he was a year older than me, he was a drug addict and they found it in his lockers, he got expelled. And there was this girl he liked (or was it his ex-gf?), so he called her and wanted to talk to her, she was like I don't like you, I found somebody else; and so he had a belt hanging from his head, and as he was talking to her, he said "if i die, remember that it's all your fault." And so he hung himself. I heard that he was a really nice guy too.

a person that I supposedly knew, my brother and my mom said that I knew him and that we went to the same school I still don't know who the guy is, was shot in his house and died on the way to the hospital. I don't really feel anything towards his death.

Oh, yeah. At my school we had lost our math teacher (heart attack). It sucked, because he was really funny. ):
And my old friend's mom died, which was really sad. I remember he changed so much after it happened, too. It was kind of disheartening.
