We recently visited The Montagu Estate (National Motor Museum) at Beaulieu where we were able to see lots of famous vehicles-including the Bond vehicles! Here is a link to the website:-

Here is another link to some great pics of the Beaulieu 'Bond' collection:-

I have to say-BTW-that I thought it could have been displayed in a more creative and awesome way-the Top Gear cars were exhibited creatively with a current film with clips to remind you of what had happened during the series. But the Bond cars are even MORE famous and should-in my opinion-have been given MORE kudos. Eg:The AMC Hornet that James Bond (Roger Moore) and Sheriff JW Pepper used to do the spectacular 360 degree jump over the old bridge in The Man With The Golden Gun-here it is tightly packed with other cars -not even a film clip to remind us of the spectacular stunt associated with it..

Things are slightly better at the James Bond exhibition at Keswick -because the collection is so vast-but even here, the exhibition is boring compared to seeing the cars in action!

Video of Keswick exhibition http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4KoHL6G-Oc

....let's just take a look at that AMC in action!

... "You're not thinkin' a..." Bond responds, imitating Pepper's aggressively Southern accent: "I sure am, boy!" And then, in his British accent, "Ever hear of Evel Knievel?"

Plot Description:

Starring:
James Brolin
Kathleen Lloyd
John Marley
R.G. Armstrong
Directed By:
Elliot Silverstein

ahh, i remember this movie. the car was customized version of a 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III. supposedly it was customized by the same man who created the orginal "Batmobile" from the 60's (not sure about this, but I am positive about it being a Lincoln)

Wow!Although it's old it still looks scary to me! I've been looking at the trailer on Youtube.

There's another film this reminds me of-about a truck that chased a guy on a lonely highway but it did have a driver-whereas the CAR....
.didn't.

This is the movie I was thinking of-from the same era-The Duel.

Voted the ultimate big screen car, the Batmobile made its movie debut in the 1989 movie ‘Batman’ starring Michael Keaton. Pictured here is the version used in the 2005 ‘Batman Begins’ film, starring Christian Bale and Michael Caine.
