This falling in love for me went wired , i was just um watching like few days ago yumeiro patissiere proffesional and after i saw all the episodes i was like listening to the opening, and like when i see ichigo it feels kinda strange , i felt like a weirdo cause i thought im the only one, i realised that i actually seek for some1 in real that would be atleast a lil like that character.

Yup! I, too, think that it is normal to "fall in love"/have a crush on an anime character...it's just like having a crush on a movie star or something...to be honest, I have tons of crushes in the anime world! Dont make me start counting! And like what everyone else had said, what makes it abnormal is when you breached the threshold of reality and illusion. You have to anchor yourself unto reality because no matter what you do, those characters are only made up by people. (though I would've liked it sooooooo much if some of them would become real! I would be in a state of shock, bliss, starstruck, and panic!) Those anime character are to be in the dream world only...though you can use the characteristics of the anime guy/girl to be your ruler of the person you would've liked to be with...or something near it...

I think when people fall in love with an anime or manga character one of the reasons for it is because they (like me) have lost most, if not all, hope in real women, and the "real" world as a whole. Now, I'm not saying that I'm in love with any one anime/manga character, I just love the characters for who they are, their personalities, quirks, and even for their faults. *Sigh* Look, I've gone nineteen years without a girlfriend, and I don't see myself getting one anytime soon. It isn't any mystery either as to why, I'm stupid, ugly, have a horrible personality, and am an overall bad person. I don't deserve a girlfriend, I would just end up hurting her or make her sad...

Okay, back on topic and off this self pity train... I just see anime/manga characters much more appealing and would love to just be in their company, and I know what your going to say... "No duh, you retard, they are specifically designed to be very appealing in most every way. That's called good marketing!"... I know -_-' but even still, unlike real girls, they don't judge me or insult me, talk behind my back, cheat on me, scar me, or hate me. I can watch them grow, laugh, cry, love and hate all through out the progression of the series. See, I picture the characters that I meet in a sexual or perverted way like some do, I'm happy just watching them live and interact in the series. It's fun. It's something I couldn't do in real life... and again I know what you might be thinking... "Eww, he likes to watch o.O he must be a stalker or something!"... Oi (9.9)... But if, however impossible it may be, a girl would like to go out with someone like me I would gladly do so, I wouldn't say anything like, "Get away heathen! I love -insert anime/manga character's name here- !!!" That would be one of the biggest mistakes I could make lol.
