Of course I've had crushes.....but it's still just a fictional character in the end.

Currently though my main crushes are:

Kuroh from K
Mako and Rei from Free.
Subaru, Natsume and Glasses Bro from Brother's Conflict.

And I have a thing for glasses. When I was into Bleach a few years back, I was the biggest Ishida fangirl ever.

I agree. It's not abnormal to develop a crush on an anime character. As long as you do realize that hey they are not REAL...
Like you stated it would be abnormal for a guy to not go out with a girl because he would rather be with (Insert name of anime girl here).

I bet everyone is gulty of having some attraction to an anime character. ^_^

Totally agreed, I really do think anime characters are really cute but I can`t ever fall in love want to marry,or Make it my waifu like this lol

Its probably because we feel a conection with the character or because we like who and what they are, i meen you wont find anyone like this in real life. WRONG there is always someone that will make you feel the same way, make you feel the things you do by just being close to that person, but the problem is... where is this person, where is he/she hiding, and the day you might find the one, shes allready out of reach. thats why i think people fall in love with anime characters because they are always there, and they will never fail you or so it feels, they make you forget about your life as it is right now, you might feel alone, you might be sad and depressed, you might straight out hate your entire life, but when you watch them in their world you forget about yourself, your problems and everything else that bothers you, you can finaly be calm and happy thanks to them or so you tell yourself, because in the end, its all up to you to find that certain someone and tur your life around for the better so dont give up :)

And yeah forgot the point but i meent it like, yes people fall in love with characters for diffrent reasons, but whatever the reason might be, can you truely be happy for that long?

And yes ive had anime crushed during my time i think its quite normal

A crush is fine, especially when you're a tween/teen...Later on, it is a bit disturbing to crush on a pretty picture, or written personalities. And falling in love with a fictional character who doesn't even exist?

Uh, no. Just no.

I think it's perfectly normal for people to develop crushes on others throughout life. After all, in my own experience at least, most of these prove to be infatuations quickly formed and quickly forgotten. That being the case, what harm if that affection falls onto a fictional character?

Reality was never fair towards certain people. Falling/finding love was always never truly easy to begin with for some people. Doesn't matter if people can't determine fiction from reality when it comes to falling in love/crushes because love was never easy. Sure, we can all look strangely at people that prefer to love a fictional character over a living being. Those people already know how hard it is to find that certain someone in this world and nobody will accept them. For some people its easier to fall in love with a fictional entity than something that breathes. At least when they love that character they won't have to worry about getting hurt or disowned by people. Yes there are good people out there that are waiting for them to show up.....that's a lot of searching for some people. In some cases, people like that aren't MENTALLY ready to fall in love with a person yet. Humans were never easy to deal with.....of course.

Everybody is different and I do mean everybody.
