I don't think I've ever fallen in love with an anime character. One of the main reasons are that they're fictianal characters and can't replace real relationship what so ever. The same goes for "love in first sight", but that's another topic really. Pardon me for saying this, but if you really DO have fallen in love with an anime character it's not REAL love in my opinion. Love is much deeper than just seeing a pretty guy/girl on the screen or liking the characters personalily or whatever attracts you.
This however are just my thoughts and you are free to disagree ^^

Falling in love with something that doesnt exist?
Does people like that exist?
They are fictional characters... thus they do not exist... hence the word FICTION.... I just cant understand falling in love to someone that doesnt exist.... Im sure its another form of love but my mind usually sticks to logic and reason.... and my mind tells me that those people who actually are in love with fictional characters needs to get a life!
Thats just my opinion though.... feel free to say "SCREW YOU! YOU DONT KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO HAVE REAL LOVE" and humiliate yourself ^.^

i always do fall in love with anime characters...
i find them more appealing cause they're morally upright and ispirational for the lack of the right term....
and their creators put great personalities together and merge them into this perfect epitome of an ideal man or girl....
plus...they look better than real people tooo....
