If its going to be 90% korean 5% japanese and 5% chinese like it kinda is now thats just not going to fly. i dont care about the chinese ones but the japanese drama collection on cr is just plain sad.


i really hope to see more then horror. I'm really hoping for Shinkenger ( the 2009 power rangers) because 1. its not going to be aired in america because its too japanese and 2. it looks really cool because it IS so japanese!

i would also like NHK shows to be aired the shorts that teach japanese and other educational shows.

THEN i would subscribe TWICE! man if there was nhk on here i'd pay whatever.

why should i pay extra?

Call me cynical if you want, but the way this is explained it sounds like bad news. At the moment there isn't enough content in the anime membership and I feel like I'm being ripped off. This is mainly because the shows I can watch are limited by my region to only half of what is actually on the site, but I still have to pay the same price as everyone else - that sucks, no matter how you try to sell it. If I'm getting a subpar service I should pay a discounted price. And now you're adding additional content that I might be able to watch, assuming of course it's even licensed for my region, but you want me to pay for a second membership? No thanks, crunchyroll.

Honestly, I thought crunchyroll going premium with officially licensed content was a good thing and I really wanted to support it, but that opinion has changed. The reality of it all is that what I'm getting out of my membership doesn't seem worth what I paid. This is one membership that likely won't be renewed next year. A second membership is definitely out of the question!

That's exactly what will keep most people from overseas to get a membership. It's a bit of a rip-off for us. Very sad because I am actually willing to pay a lot for a Drama membership... The 3 shows that are currently available (actually it's only one show, and 2 odd videos) are a joke.

Seriously? A second, completely separate membership? I better not be reading that right, because that's just ridiculous. As much as I love dramas and want to support the legal distribution of them, that it is out of the question for me, with my budget.

Now, perhaps if it's membership LEVELS. Like, "Anime" and "Anime + Drama" with a reasonable increase in rates (not something stupid like DOUBLE the cost as your post suggests), then I might go for it. But if I have to have TWO subscriptions, screw it. I'll watch dramas elsewhere or continue to download them.

And why are you already implementing a drama membership at all, when you haven't even been able to expand your region restrictions for most series beyond the US and Canada, and even past the US for a few series? This would only make sense if the revenue from drama memberships would provide you with the means/funds to obtain more licenses.

would be nice if premium members can recieve a discount for the drama subscription. It seems to be early to pay an additional subscription if i already paid to be a premium member, sure ill support but with this sudden change, at least expand the collection and restrictions before making the drama membership active.
