When I click on the new Tegami Bachi newest episode the page loaded ads for Amazon. I'm a paying customer, there should be no ads.

Are you confusing the Amazon merchandise included in the Tegami Bachi pages for ads?

This section in the Tegami Bachi pages is there, regardless of account status, primarily for promotion of related merchandise. The ads you do not see as an Anime Member are the following:

Yes those are ads. Don't act like they are not ads, because they clearly are. Crunchyroll is getting paid to show those, which is not cool because I am paying Crunchyroll to watch the anime, i shouldn't have to see ads.

I agree that they are ads and does not belong there... If they want to give us the opportunity to buy this manga they should add a new tab in the page for tegami bachi called "Merchandise" or "Manga" but it should not be visible unless you choice somewhere to see it.

I would also point out that those items are related to the show itself and for convenience. Is it really unreasonable to assume someone who likes the anime may also wish to check out the manga? It isn't like this is an evony add or something from overstock.com. Meanwhile though they are visible on the video page when you play one of the episodes they are rather far down there, I have to actually scroll past the video entirely to see them on my pc. Considering that I went to the page to watch said video it isn't often I scroll past it. Honestly I never even noticed them until I saw this thread and I have watched every episode of the series.

That said the idea to have a merchandise section isn't half bad so long as you guys also accept that it might get tooled out with more than just one or two links to a manga.

Im personally glad the ad was available, I don't have enough time these days to constantly check if an anime I like, has had its manga licensed. This was a nice little surprise and it didn't me at all bother me. As long as the popular shows, like say Naruto, don't start showing adds like this I'm totally fine with it. Besides I feel like Crunchy roll gives us a very unique (and finally a legal) experience for a really reasonable price, hedging once in a while is not so bad.

Firefox + Ad block Plus + Element Hider = win.

Edit: I refute my statement. I was on google chrome because firefox sometimes has issues with the flash player and the ads are annoying.

*Thumbs Up*

Most people don't know that most spywares and viruses can come from the ads on the website and not the website itself.
Also Ads are annoying, so add block plus is a life saver!
I have it and I haven't seen an ad on any websites I visit ever since. (but of course, I can't say it'll work 100% since I don't visit suspicious websites ever haha ^^;;)
Not on CR either, even if I'm not a paying customer.
