Does this feature currently exist? It would be really awesome to get a cozy E-Mail every day of new episodes of specific animes that I choose that are still ongoing.

I've scoured the site and haven't been able to find any such feature. Someone mentioned that I could follow crunchyroll on Twitter, but to dig through all of that to find certain series' would be annoying. I could write an API plugin in Java or PHP to check it every so often, but I would have to set it on a run schedule or run it on a server, or even run it by hand. Plus, if the name was ever misspelled or anything on Twitter, chances are the plugin wouldn't find it. (Yes, I'm a developer)

Anyway, it boils down to...if this feature exists, where is it? If not, could we make it exist perhaps? :)

Thanks!

I am pretty sure there is a function for this.

Hmm. Go to your Account Settings of which then you will see a page that looks like this (only with different info of course):

If you don't know where your Account Settings is, click the spoiler.

Once you are on your page, scroll down and you will be able to see some library articles of which you became apart of. From here there is an option called Suscribe (the middle option) of which then you will be able to recieve email updates on your anime.

Note 1. If you are on your Account Settings but yuou cannot find the anime of which you want to recieve email updates from, go to the library article of it and "Become a fan" of it.

Note 2. You will only be able to recieve email updates for videos of the anime/ drama that Cr airs.

I hope this is helpful. ^^

I can't find any anime in my Account Settings, and the anime I'm trying (Sora no Otoshimono) doesn't seem to have a "Become a fan" button O_O

Oh, alternatively, we could have RSS feeds for each different anime. That should be relatively easy to implement for the admin, and will provide the information to people and they can use whatever method they choose to receive the updates

To became a fan of something, do the following:

Just basically click on this link:
http://www.crunchyroll.com/library/Sora_No_Otoshimono#s=/library/Sora_No_Otoshimono/members

This will lead you straight to the fan/ members page. From here click on the "Favourite this to became a fan" or sometimes it may just say "Become a fan".

Refresh your page and check your Account Settings.

Usually, favourite and becoming a fan is to different things.

Now that you have "Suscribed" to it - you should be able to recieve email updates. I am not sure whether this function still works. It should do. Well... guess we have to wait and see. ^^

^ That is an automatic function. However you can still have favourites without becoming a fan.

Fair warning the feature does work but the emails tend to have a little bit of time delay and normally won't go out until a few hours after the new show is released. Sometimes it is more on the ball than others but normally it is about 10-12 hours after the fact in my experience.
