I didn't bother reading all the posts yet, especially that freakin essay, so forgive me if I'm repeating stuff.

I think it was both Sekai's and Makoto's fault. Katsura was a victim of circumstance more than anything in my opinion. Makoto's problem was that he treated sex like a drug addiction. Granted they are both very similar anyway, but your drugs don't get mad when you don't call, or get pregnant. At the very end, right before he died, he started to reflect and realize it. He did some twisted things, but he was finally learning, and it was still the same semester of school, so give him a break I say.

It was really Sekai's fault more than anyone. Her personality really was the source of it all. She was super codependant. If she wasn't so afraid of being alone, I think she would have just told Makoto how she felt and things would have been fine. Instead she helped him get with Katsura.

I really loved the little school drama play scene that was in the last episode. As Setsuna said, "If you had never sat next to him, if you had never introduced him to Katsura, this might not have happened."

In the end I think it was Sekai's codependance that led her to kill Makoto, too.

Kotonoha had her own personality issues that led her to snap, but I'm not even going to pretend I understand how her brain was working.

I want to say all. But I think Saki was the problem. She had lost her chance to confess to Makoto. Makoto wanted Kotonoha. She volunteered to help Makoto. He didn't directly tell her that. She just guessed. She wrongfully seduced him and brainwashed him. Also she mostly killed either Makoto and/or Kotonoha in the manga, game, and anime. She must be the intended antagonist...............lolzz

alright this anime is rated M FOR MATURE. It sure doesn't look it at first in the beggining. im an Hatian american basketball player type guy and missed the ATL hawks vs. LA Lakers because of this anime and boy was it worth it. If your own this that means you either watched it or thinking about it. If your quesy simply watch up to episode 11 but seeing as the boy kinda deserved it then hey you might take a peak at the next eepisode

Kotonoha- I feel sorry for her that now she will be forever scarred (talking about them like they're real) and will most likly die lonely in a jail cell somewhere or hospital.

Sekai- THE ONLY REAL PERSON IN THE ENTIRE SHOW EXCEPT FOR MAKATO'S FRIEND she was the only person that seemed to relate to anybody in the world cuz she actually seemed like she was alive. She's dead now but i can't just help but feel bad for her since it seemed like she liked Makoto as a person and not as a sex symbol. MAkoto and Sekai became friends and then more but it was to fast. (another reason why this was only a 12 episode anime in order to show how lust is all about speed and never lasts.)

Makoto- the average guy, if anything he reminded me of a mix of Miroku from inuyasha and yusuke from yuyu hakusho. This kinda show explains that Karma is a bitch but hell you did it to yourself. He became a sex lover and this was probably every guys dream for girls to be this easy (until the last two episodes where OH MAN SHIT JUST GOT REAL.)

For me, it's only Makoto's fault.. if he picked just ONE among all the girls in school, This wouldn't have happen.. besides if he wish to break up he can just say it straightly and he shouldn't be ignoring them just because he already found another girl. I hate Makoto damnit >_<

ATTENTION

For some reason I found myself more attached to Sekai. At first I was just thinking she liked Makoto; who was just some nervous ass lame boy that wanted to get a girlfriend. When him and Katsura started dating it just seemed weird and that the plot would focus more on Makoto and Sekai. I think around episode 5 when he finally admits to Sekai that he wants to see her was Makoto's only strong point in the whole series. I thought it was going to be all emotional with the rain and everything, but it turns out all Makoto wanted was sex.

That guy was a jerk, a complete troll. After that he is just grabbing and touching everything. He doesn't take responsibilities for his own actions and is just a complete pussy. He wasn't even a noble character in this series. To think of it there was no noble character in this series. There was no Naruto, Kosuke (The Girl who Leapt Through Time), or Kyon (Haruhi Suzumiya). This guy, Makoto, was just driven for sex and lust. Disregarding everyone's feelings in the series. There was nothing special about him. He didn't deserve any of those girls. Not a single one. He caused all of it by being indecisive and a straight up wimp. Sekai did him justice by removing him from the world. As she said at the end "You're just to Cruel". She shouldn't have been the one to beat his ass, but she stepped up and did the right thing.

This series didn't have any optimistic moments, no scenes where the character runs for his lover with dramatic music playing. I guess I'm a sucker for those moments in anime. Where the main character realizes everything and tries to save everyone. It's a good anime though, just a very gloomy one.

Makoto was a douche, straight up, all his fault.

Katsura was crazy though, didn't like her from the start. She as just ehh. She should have realized Makoto was no good and just afk'd. Man what a creep, I wouldn't want to live with that type of chick ever.

My overall rating 9/10 - 9 of the them being for Sekai! Woo, team Sekai!

1.) Sekai . . .
because she's the one who set Makoto up with Katsura in the first place when she knew she loved him. By the time she actually confesses she's already gone to far with Makoto and starts dating him behind Katsura's back . . .
2.) Katsura . . .
she loved Makoto after all he did . . .
3.) Makoto . . .
. . .
. . .
I just really feel sorry for him . . .
but them again he slept with almost every girl in the series.

Hmm very nice, but here is more part of the story, I will blame Sekai for this mostly, but a lot of it is Katsura's fault too. The paper is laid right here

-In the beginning, this was all Katsura's fault and Makoto, we can tell this because Katsura is the laid hand girl here. We can say this because when Makoto told Sekai that he loved her and etc. everything that happened that obviously told Katsura that they were over became real, Katsura was lovesick, waiting for Makoto, and I also blame the relationship between Sekai and Makoto. Because it was too strong when Makato was cheating on Sekai this made Sekai desperate for Makato. Makato always showed love for Sekai the most, this caused the bond to increase immensely. You can tell in about half-early in the episodes that Sekai was jealous when all the cheating drama was known and happened. A.K.A. the part about where Katsura asked Makoto to the Folk Dance at his house. The conclusion begins here that Sekai was indeed in a greatly huge bond with Makoto. She was mad and jealous of Katsura because Makoto apparently showed feelings for Katsura while they were talking. Sekai hereby hereing this stormed out and it began. Of course, along the episodes the bond between Makoto and Katsura was very low indeed, but Makoto's feelings were obvious he still cared about Katsura, these feelings were also held in in front of Sekai. Also let's go back to where Katsura figured out that Makoto un-blocked her. We know that Sekai also heard this. Again more jealousy. Although Katsura was the main point of Sekai's jealously there were others that were pointed out to Sekai like Omete. Sekai's bond with Makato was one that was so forever great. But the jealously was also a gigantic part of the bond. Of course we can conclude but never saw or heard that Err, um...Makato injected the part of the man's body that makes the egg form inside the girl's body to Sekai. This is however not true. Yes they did have the course of action that would make this happen but it still never came. This action was also a supporter to Sekai's story. However, when Sekai's jealously overturned Sekai-She wanted Makato forever. Still yet, Makato was with other girls and the way to develop Makato's relationship back with Sekai was to lie. Sekai used the action to support her in her faking of pregnacy and told Makato about this. His world turned upsite down and he didn't know what to do. Now we fast-foward to a more recent time, about in episode 11-12 were Katsura comes back and appears in front of Makato, she is still lovesick but tells Makoto that he loves him. Now we know that Makoto was tired with Sekai's pregnacy and he remembered Katsura, and found that he loved her again and admitted it. Now Katsura's lovesick spirit was lifted and Episode 12 comes...I am sry to say this but Sekai finding out that Makato still loved and was with Katsura was outraging to Sekai. Let's all cry guys before I give you the truth. (5 Period Later) Oh, I'm back! Ok I will continue.Ok now... We skip some periods and Sekai is at Makato's house, She...now hates him, for this to be so scruel And she texts him sorry like a million times and then says goodbye when she's by the door with a hmm, let's call it an "onion" knife? and then she appears in front of Makoto and kills him....Now skip some minute later and Katsura comes in while Sekai is gone...and then she cuts of his head in a killing delusion, all forever, so she can be with him. Eh, I skipped this part so I'm just gonna go to the last what, 8 minutes? Ok so Sekai looks in the bad and sees Makoto's head in the bad with huge regret and falls down crying about Makoto, all of life. And well I think Katsura pulled out the knife that Sekai used to kill Makoto and Katsura used to slice off Mokoto's head. Katsura kills Sekai... slices open her belly to see if she was lying for all of this and then KABOOM! MY AMAziNG CONCLUSION COMES UP! Yes yes, I know, it was a lye and opening conclusion from the start. Sekai lyed about her pregnacy to Makoto and dreamed that he would care and be with her forever. Anyone who denies this and says the baby would be very small is wrong. In the world of Earth de-formed babies in there most earlier seconds are connected through a tube, this gives the egg a form to grow, eat, and energize. ALl this energy is why the baby kicks sometimes in a women's belly. Now, even though you say it would be a small baby right now think of it. Do you remember what episode when Sekai was in bed with Makoto??? This could possibly mean that months passed, 2-3 as we may know...And the baby would alredy be as big as half the size of an average born baby. Katsura saw no tubes or Average sized baby. And this ends my story...

We can also tell that the publisher of this series "mmv" made Sekai rub her belly a lot and talked to herself about the baby was to confuse us and not spoil us, to make sure that we would not find out my reasoning too soon. And we can hereby blame this on THE BOND OF THE LOVE SQUARE/TRIANGLE! These bonds were so strong they played a very important in the killing of Sekai and Makoto. I hereby close this case and give you the knowledge...

To be honest you cant truly blame anyone. Sure things were said and done but there is never someone to solely blame.

Makoto, is a simple young man who is in desperate to find love and affection. Although it doesn't seem like that in the commotion, its is his main goal. When the series begins he is at the stage in life where he want some one to love, which seems to be amplified by his family being divorced and that he doesn't live either his mother or father. Apart from the occasional visit from his younger sister, Makoto is all alone. So when he finds himself swarmed with the love, affection and attention of 2 beautiful girls, he is unable to deal with it. This is evident through him asking Sekia for advice. The problem with Makoto is the fact that he was unable to distinguish between Love and Lust. He mistook lust for love. This is common for people his age. So the "love" he feels with other girls is a misinterpretation of his own feelings. You can say that his sleeping around is a quest to find the difference between love and lust. As the series progresses you can see that he becomes more and more disinterested in the girls he sleeps with. This is him realising that he is not in love with these girls. This isn't what he wants. In fact by the end he is being used by female characters. In the end he returns to the one person who he didn't have sex with. The one person that he had a intimate relationship with. Its my belief that he truly loved Kotonoha the whole time, and thats why it was so hard for him to let go of her (break it off). At this point he releases the mistakes he has made, how much he has been used and how much he has lost. He even breaks down in the last 2 episodes. this is basically the only true emotion* we see from him. Makato actually loses depth as a character as the series progresses. Makoto regains at the end but its too late.

Sekai, undoubtable loves Makoto. Sekai does anything and everything to make Makoto happy even though it upsets her that he likes someone else. Eventually She gets carried away with helping him. Sekai generally shows her affection in a more physical way than Kotonoha. This is easier for Makoto to relate and notice. This is when Makoto begins to mistake lust for love. He thinks because Kotonoha doesn't like him touching her or being physical that she doesn't love him. Sekai's idea of a relationship seems to be more mature than Makoto's. She believes that a healthy sex life helps with a relationship, whereas, Makoto belieces that a sex life is a relationship and love. This messes with Makoto.

I have only recently completed the series. 3 days ago to be exact and i am still thinking about it. I haven't completely processed everything yet. I love this series even though it makes me sad. It physically makes me heart-sore, every time i think about it. To be honest the main characters are all innocent people that get sucked into a shit situation. none of them are to blame.

I'll post more when i have thought about the whole series more.

*I say true emotion because most of the time there is no solid emotion from Makoto.

At first i thought of it as a nice anime, but after the ending, i guess as most people.
i was damn shaking...that something could happen..
even though makoto should have noticed he was doing wrong and should have stopped...
but overall there were a lot of hints in the anime itself of what was going to happen so..
though its a good one..

Ultimately it was all their fault, Makotos fault moreso...
Basically this is what happens when everyone acts selfishly and doesn't take their actions into consideration :P

Can't remember the quote exactly that I'm thinking of, but I think it's something like this = "Sometimes when I consider what tremendous consequences come from little things, I am tempted to think there are no little things." - Bruce Barton

This anime embodies that quote perfectly, what's seen as innocent fun or giving in to one's desires, is ultimately shooting yourself in the foot in the long run.

I'm not one who believes in Karma, but I like to think there's some of balance within all this Chaos Theory, where on the level that we're animals, we somehow "know" if someone is a bad person or not, and we treat them accordingly.
