Those two questions are two completely different matters. As far as who is expected to win, we can't really say for sure. Forget all those social weather service surveys you hear, because they're all designed to sway people towards the majority vote. Besides not having appropriate sample sizes or methods, you can only conclude that those premature surveys are just biased and inconclusive. The only nice thing, however, about the line-up for next year is that there are just so many of them, that it's hard to put a finger on it. I kinda like this ambiguity, because it will actually make people think of who to vote for, for a change.

As far as who would make our country "rise" - I think that's a very ambiguous statement. Rise in terms of what? Reduction of poverty? Improved economic reforms? Improved political systems and prioritized national agendas? Each candidate has his or her own view of how to make that country rise, and by all means, they cannot be discredited for having that potential. It would be naive, however, to assume that a presidential could actually do ALL of those things I previously mentioned... if any one of them did say that, I'd scratch them off my head in an instant. All of them have the potential... it's a matter of politicking their way through the system once they've been elected. That's a totally different story, there...

In short, I'm totally indifferent to the "expected win" or the "supposed messiah" of our country. If anything, I don't even believe that the president would be the starting point of any major change in our country. I'd smack the head of people who buy those "ako mismo" tags, only to mouth out that they want change in the government and what not. It's an overused statement, but it applies quite heavily to the Filipinos. Change begins with the self - but quite frankly, I don't see that happening any time soon.

They are all crap! Manny Villar he's nothing but a deceitful wreck, Ninoy Aquino Jr, just some naive or some stupid old man. What else is there? I think it would be better to choose the "better evil" like what most americans do than we we are doing. We always think that saints can always save us with their divine blesssings. But hell no, it requires skilled and deserving leaders other than that a willing masses to cooperate in their goals. As what I see now I think none of those candidates even deserves to even run in the elections. And now we got "Willie Revillame"!? For christ sakes, what does a clown like him of an entertainer can do to lead this damn country?

These elections we have every few years are nothing but big carnival shows to give the illusion that hope is on the way. You make someone else president the same things are going to happen. The government is only interested in its own power. They make the country poor enough to force people to leave and pour in money they make living and working in other countries. In the end, the government doesn't have to do a damn thing. Their little scheme worked and will continue to work until the end of time.

To the president and his/her cronies, the people are just unwanted liabilities. I find it sickening that OFWs are being called the "new heroes of the nation". Bullshit. Believe me when I say that the only way the country could ever have any kind of hope of turning around is if you remove all the Filipinos from there and replace them with some other group of people. I'm serious.

That is what people do. However, finding the definition of RIGHT is what they don't do.
Noynoy is right because his parents were proclaimed heroes.
Villar is right because he was one of the "masa."
Gibo is right because he has charisma and intelligence.
etc.

You have some years more to think and find your definition of RIGHT.

Gilbert Teodoro(For Pres.) , there's an issue about him that there would be a possibility that he would implement Charter Change(Parliamentary System) if he won the position as President. I met him personally in one of the presidentiables' forum I attended he seem smart, decent, kind and very open to talk about himself and his background.
I don't know if I'm going to vote him or not. Siguro dapat tumakbo muna sya ng senator then vice-pres then president para makita ng mga tao ang abilidad nya para maiahon ang bansa natin. I still don't know what is his weakness and strengths to handle this country.

Dick Gordon(For Pres.), He's prangka, straightforward kung magsalita. Mahilig sya mag-invite ng mga investors which is good naman kahit papaano.

Noy-Noy(For Pres.)

Are you guys kidding? There's no way I'd put my vote on someone that I do not know and someone that doesn't even know what he is even capable of. I think he will only make a good puppet to corrupt officials existing in this government. Just because he is a son of a hero doesn't mean he can swing his sword like his predecessors. No, I say I won't vote the likes of him. It is obvious that this guy had no ability or whatsoever to lead this country.
