But if we felt bad for everyone who died, even people we don't know, we would never be happy. Ever. Do you want that?

I'm not saying "feel the world's pain" or what....I'm just saying this is the type of thig I cry myself to sleep over. Because no one seems to care that there ARE other people out there. People besides them and their friends. I'm talking about people who are in the war, on the streets, and dying. Frikin left and right man. D:< Why does no one care?!

People don't care because truth is that most people aren't affected by such tragedies if it doesn't directly afflict them in any way. The idea is there but the feelings or "expected reactions" aren't. I guess not many people care that these victims of war fought for their sake. =(

Depends on the person.

I dunno, I just think that if we mourned death all the time, it'd be a bit ridiculous? And then it would become run of the mill so we would never feel bad when someone honestly close to us died. I do believe that people who fight for our countries are an exception, though.

hahaha, i think we'd prefer to live in happiness during times of despair and its probably somewhat of our obligation to pay homage to these soldiers and do what we can.

If i felt bad for every person that died i'd be in a downward spiral of unending depression. Some things are for the better

Well, instead of crying about it, do something then. I hate it when people pass by a homeless person or animal and be like, "Aw, what a pity. I wish someone would do something." It's like...why don't YOU do something then.

There's no point in feeling bad or pitying. Just do something if you want to change the world or whatever.

Every minute? The truth is, every second there are people dying. Anyway, can you change the title of your thread? From your current thread title, no one knows what your thread is about just by looking at it. Pm me the new title or quote me with it here so I can change it for you.

As budhha said "Life is suffering"
--you dont have to worry about every little pain every man is suffering
because all of us are suffering in one way or another:
Physically,as you've said

people who are in the war, on the streets, and dying

but also emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, environmentally and etc.
If you want to feel a little better--do something, at least, than worry.Being sensitive is the first step.

I believe Joker from The Dark Knight movie put it best;

Hmmm? You know... You know what I've noticed? Nobody panics when things go "according to plan." Even if the plan is horrifying!

If, tomorrow, I tell the press that, like, a gang banger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics, because it's all "part of the plan."

But when I say that one little old mayor will die, well then everyone loses their minds!

The world just goes on it's own little thing until something unexpected happens, usually something closer to home. Then bam! Pandemonium.

This is just life, things / people die, then more are born.
Its sad but in another decade or two their current problems will have made them forget our sacrifices. Just another page in the history books..
So live life how you want because it makes little difference to the future, unless you just happen to land in the 1% of people who actually take a position of power and change the world.
