Wow this thread is four years old. I hope you had made a better strategies to that everyone these days knows about rush on the first two minutes and would block and have massive armies behind and should have air units to attack you by now. That was my strategies a few years like yourself I change it to blockade, small defenses, mini armies, and a bit of air units my most played unit is protoss I do good with it massive stalkers and zealots with first upgrades then two or four void rays.

Terran Mech with spider mines and turret pushing. In sc2 i just go blinkers or roaches, mutas are fun too.

I've never had a set strategy, those are what get you killed. Know your opponent and adapt to their playstyle and counter it appropriately. If you don't have that luxury, get scouts early on, and do the basic build until you figure out which way they are going, and then prepare your counter.
It's all about versatility and being unpredictable. ;D

How do you counter a protoss turtleas Zerg?!?!?!
I can't do jack, and after the macro session he comes with his op protoss ball aaaand ...GG
And also, I don't know how to balance the production of drones and units, and when to upgrade to Lair, when do build a roach warren etc...

Send your SCV/Drones/Probes to the enemy's base as soon as the game starts, destroy any combat buildings they were trying to produce, and then kill off their workers 1 by 1. Works on all noobs.

Infestor with vipers are good casters against that, and finish them off with some hydra/roaches or broodlords, depending how far into the game you are.

I main as Protoss. I usually wall-off my ramp with 2 pylons and a Warpgate with 1 Zealot acting as a "door" and a single photon cannon against any race (Zergling Rush, Cannon Rush, etc). I usually 4Gate, depending on what my scouting Probe finds, and if it fails I expand and transition into Mass Carriers with a Mothership (RIP Vortex), if opponent leaves me be. Adding a few HTs for Psi Storms is handy, too. I'm Silver in both 1v1 and 2v2.

If i'm Protoss i'll get a forge instead of a gateway, and attempt to build photon cannons in the opponents base.

ZvP: 2 base swarmhost
ZvZ: Muta ling, or some early pool cheese if i'm sick of playing the most boring match up in the game.
